Fry Road Animal Clinic

Pros: Vet treated me professionally, friendly staff, in and out quickly. \r Cons: Expensive, recommended more additional tests than needed, provided poor analysis of symptoms and conditions. \r \r Basically, they're middle of the road. Prepare to get asked for approval for additional tests while they rack up the fees. Also, other reviewers have found them to self-authorize these tests and charge the pet owners without their consent. They did NOT do this to me, but rather suggested I order everything and the kitchen sink. more

'Peanut' had really good service with his teeth cleaning and is now a happy and nice smelling doggy again. The staff is so loving to all the animals I've seen go in there. Pros: Loving staff more

I can't even count how many years I've known Dr. Brice and his staff. I was introduced to them by my mother. My parent's dashound, Puddles, was ill and had to be put to sleep. They were so compasionate. A few years after that we got a puppy for our children. Dakota was well cared for by Dr. Brice & his crew for 7 years. When I had to make a decision to put Dakota down, it was horrible. Dr. Brice and his staff were so loving and compasionate to both Dakota and myself. They are a true blessing to furry friends and their ""parents."" We have a new puppy now and we are getting the same outstanding care with Scruffy as we did with Dakota! I have been going to Fry Road Animal Clinic for 5+ years. The doctors and all the staff are the most caring people. I have never had a complaint about them and they have always showed me respect and showed my pets nothing but loving care. more

We have been going to Fry Rd clinic for over 20 years now and have nothing but praise for them! We recently bought two Bengals just over a year ago. Cleo had problems when she was a small baby. Dr Pamela O'Rear went above and beyond the call to diagnois and treat Cleo's problems which was a very rare condition. I am happy to say that Cleo is now on a maintaintence program and doing great! I am sure we would have lost Cleo if not for Dr O'Rear's & Fry Road Vet's great service! Kuodo's to them.\r \r By the way - the directions for Fry Rd Animal Clinic on Map quest is wrong. (This is my first review for Citysearch)\r I recently took my newly adopted dog for a checkup with Dr. O'Rear. She gave her a thorough exam and cleared every procedure with me and explained them thoroughly. The doctor genuinely seemed interested in me and my dog. My dog needed treatment for an ear infection and Dr. O'Rear took the time to explain the meds, and even showed me how to administer them using an ear model. She did all of this without seeming condescending or patronizing. They also made time to microchip my dog even though I did not let them know ahead of time that I wanted it done. In addition the Techs and front office were kind and helpful. They were fairly busy the day I went but I didn't have to wait long. The office was very clean and the prices were reasonable, too! I highly recommend this clinic. more

I took my Yorkshire Terrier (age 2) to get her teeth cleaned. I dropped them off at 7:20 a.m. I called around 11:00 to check up on them, and was told that everything was fine, but that the Vet wanted to talk to me. She informed me that she had taken 7 teeth from my yorkie. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. I was in shock. NOBODY called me to get my permission, or talk to me about my options, or at least give me the option so say NO, and get a second opinion. Please beware of taking your loved pets here, and take them some where else. more

BEWARE, DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED PETS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! I had been going the Fry Road for over 2 years, and everything was fine until today. I took my 3 dogs, 2 Cairn Terriers ( ages 7 and 8), and 1 Yorkshire Terrier (age 2) to get their teeth cleaned. We moved to Katy 10 months ago. Because of the good reviews for the Fry Rd Animal Clinic, I made an appt. for my Yorkie, Scarlet. Dr. Gumpel took such good care of her. Scarlet was 12 yrs. old and was diagnosed with cancer about 3 months ago. Dr. Gumpel was so compassionate and caring. His ""Bedside"" manner is awesome. He helped me thru the most difficult of times. I loved my dog dearly and when we had to put her to sleep I could not have gotten thru it without Dr. Gumpel. He was so respective of my feelings and what I was going thru. He was the absolute best. I have a new yorkie now and Dr. Gumpel is the only vet she will see. You can tell he has a genuine love for his work. ""Zoe"" loves Dr. Gumpel. She gets really excited when she sees him. The Staff is also the best. They are so friendly and they really make you feel welcome and that they really care about you and your pet. Thank you so much Fry Rd Animal Clinic! ! ! ! This clinic is great with my pets. They have a great staff that makes you feel welcomed and are very helpful. I was a first puppy owner when I went in and came informed with what I needed to know. I live 21 miles away from this veterinary clinic but continue to drive to take my animals there because their service is the very best. They always check the animals carefully, even when we're just there for a checkup. They care about my pets' health and it shows. It's well worth the trip.
