For some reason the owner told me several times he is the highest paid vacuum store owner in the nation......can anyone help me understand why I would need to know that?
Well, my visit to this store was unbelievable! With 4 people working, they stressed only 1 person could help me, the owner, but he was on the phone so I was told to wait for him as the others did nothing and there were no other customers in the store. One of the employees told me he couldn't help me because he has only worked there 6 months and the owner has been there 11 years, so I had to wait for the owner. He also told me I should come back because I only wanted a $3 part and he was on the phone with his attorney.
Well, all I wanted was a small part and the owner was very strange and didn't want to hand over the part. He demanded I bring in the vacuum and then buy the part. I explained if the part did not fit, I'd be more than happy to bring it later and shame on me.....but he just keep holding the part and struggled with extending his arm to pass to me for my review. It was all too weird. All I wanted to do was exchange money for the small part in his hand....all I could keep thinking is wow, what is this guy on? Can I have some????
I finally was able to talk him into releasing the part because I offered him $10 more than it was worth...of course no receipt. As I left, him and his 6 month employee blurted out comments about the part fitting along with other insults. I turned to them and said, "I feel sorry for you. If you expect good customer service from a store you go to, just remember, what goes around, comes around."
I went to my car, and it took a while to look for my bluetooth earpiece. Then the 6 month guy car out to my car and was pretending to call the police for a trespasser. Oh boy, I thought I was on candid camera!
All in all, the part fit, but dangit, we need one more part....yikes! This time, I'm doing an online order! Possibly back to Oreck.....
