I grew up on East Coast "water ice" and heard about Frozen Aces. Went to try it out last weekend and was pleasantly suprised. They had 12 flavors to choose from and I sampled several of them. Its not like a sno cone or shaved ice but much smoother as they use real fruit in the product. I had the strawberry Lemonade ice with vanilla custard. They had other flavors of ice such as watermelon, mango, and cherry which I will try next time. I will be going back again soon. Pros: cheap Cons: tough to find more

    Not everyone is familiar with fruit ice, so let's start with a quick description: it's a healthier alternative to ice cream, but is different from shaved ice because it's smoother in texture. Fruit ice is made with fresh fruit (read: fat and cholesterol free!) and, at Frozen Aces, comes in ten flavors: black cherry, mango, raspberry, peach and watermelon among them, and in three individual sizes and quarts. For an even creamier treat, sample the gelati, which layers fruit ice with vanilla custard.
