Alas, Frontwater's Restaurant & Brewery reopened Memorial Day weekend 2004 as Frontwater's Restaurant & Lounge. Gone are the tanks outside and the brew works inside, replaced by a patio and larger bar.
The restaurant is laid out like a house and has a nice cozy atmosphere. They also have a patio with a nice view.
Service is decent. Being that they had just reopened with a new format, the staff was playing by the book.
The food was good but not great. The crab legs were enormous but the butter was barely lukewarm, and a new cup garnered the same results. The bourbon-glazed chicken was very good but the au gratin potatoes tasted like they came out of a box. For the upscale pricing they could do better.
Overall this is a nice place to eat, but they have some kinks to work out.
Pros: Great view
