I took my boat to Front Range Marine for winterization and some repairs i.e. fix mid ballast pump, straighten steering wheel, fix trailer brakes and repair trailer. The service/repairs took longer than expected, leaving my boat outside for 1.5 weeks. When I picked it up it and paid the $2,100 repair bill, everything appeared to be in good order. I took my boat out in the spring and the trailer was back to having the same problems it did when I took it in for winterization but we continued to Boyd Lake. Once we put the boat on the water it wouldn't start. I took it back to Front Range and they found that the fuel pump wire has somehow been disconnected....by the service ""tech"" changing oil, wires etc. I suspect. They also realized that they had not properly completed the trailer service so I had to leave it with them for another week. I had to call and push them to get the work completed by Friday so that I could take it out on the weekend. The were unapologetic for their mistakes and the inconvenience it was causing me. Next time we took the boat out we realized that the mid ballast they had ""fixed"" was not functioning and the steering was incredibly tight. Another service return would be required. On that service return they were annoyed to see me back but said they would give it a look. When they called to say that the steering tightness had nothing to do with the work they performed on the steering and that they would replace the steering cable for around $500. I told them to stop work and I would pick it up. They were again rude and unapologetic. I took the boat to Tommy's to fix the remaining problems the mid ballast and steering. It appeared that when Front Range Maring had replaced the mid ballast pump they had twisted the fat sack up so badly that the pump could not function. Tommy's said that the steering was likely not related to FRM steering straightening. Tommy's replaced the cable cheaper than FRM had quoted and in one day. Great service and a nice shop with a stellar reputation. I will never go to Front Range Marine again and suggest you do the same.\r more

If you take your boat in for service , Take pictures! If it gets damaged while in their custody, Act of God, Unknown origin, etc: they claim no fault of theirs. So beware! more
