This Place and the Owner Are Condemned to a Life of $ucking 8/28/2009

This has to be the worst place I have ever been to. The owner is unprofessional, the atmosphere is lame and loud, the service is pi$$ poor, and the yogurt (if you can even call it that) tastes like the bottom of a homeless man's $crotum.\r \r The biggest kicker is the ""Grand Opening"" sign. I don't get it...this place has been open for a couple of years already and they still have the sign out front. It should say ""Grand Closing"". \r \r I just want to say thank you to that dumba$$ owner Jason and his $hitty attitude for two of the worst years Santa Monica has ever experienced. Good riddance FROGO and that stupid frog. Pros: It Went Out of Business Cons: Have You Been There? more

yummy yogurt 4/3/2009

they give really generous servings with their yogurt AND toppings. \r i've been going back again and again to get their original tart frozen yogurt--i'm about 3 stickers away from getting a free one.\r but i've had to make my own frozen yogurt Pros: really good original frozen yogurt Cons: a tad pricey more

great tasting yogurt, generous portions 3/16/2009

I recently had a chance to swing by the Frogo cafe and give them a try. I found the yogurt tasted great, especially their chocolate flavor, and even the small size was very very generous. Would recommend to all yogurt lovers. Pros: great tasting yogurt, generous portions more

BiG iSSUE WiTH THE LOUD MUSiC 3/5/2009

THE ONLY THING THAT GETS TO ME ABOUT THIS PLACE IS THE LOUD MUSIC & THE MUSIC ITSELF. TOO LOUD! PEOPLE GO THERE TO STUDY & DO HOMEWORK OR EVEN READ BUT HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE WITH THE MUSIC SCREAMING AT YOU LITERALLY?! ITS IMPOSSIBLE. AND WOULD IT HURT TO ACTUALLY HAVE SOME PASTRIES INSTEAD OF HAVING THE SIGN SAYING ""PASTRIES"" WITH NOTHING THERE? COME ON, HOW IS THIS PLACE SUPPOSE TO RUN. OTHER THAN THAT I LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE. FROGO YOGURT IS WAY BETTER THAN PINKBERRY & OTHER FROZEN YOGURT SHOPS! =) Pros: FOOD DRINKS YOGURT Cons: LOUD MUSIC more

Best Coffee in Santa Monica 3/3/2009

I don't know why everyone is begging on this place. This place is kid friendly and has WIFI and no one gives you bother for staying and enjoying your cup of Joe. Staff was very friendly and they were kind enough for me to try their yogurt, which I politely declined. Overall, I'm not a yogurt fan, so never had one, but their Organic Brew is awesome. It is stronger than any other places and is very aromatic. I will give five star just for the coffee. But, never tried the yogurt. I like seeing locals work at a local establishment. I would love to see more mom and pop stores pop up, rather than corporate stores. Go Frogo!!! Pros: Local Business, Strong Coffee, Parking Cons: Seems Empty more

This Place $ucks A$$! 3/3/2009

It's way overpriced and that guy Jason is rude. He's not good at customer service. I don't know if it's just an Asian thing but he needs to just let the people who work there for him do their job. The yogurt was mediocre at best. The girl who helped me was cool, I think she was from South America. Seems he hires alot of foreign people which is cool. But I think it might be 'cause he wants to screw them over about laws and pay. What a retard. I don't think it'll last a year...if it does it's cause the owner is coming in here and writing good reviews. And what is up with those limes next to the cheesecake? WTF?! Crazy man. Pros: It's in Santa Monica Cons: Douchbag owner more

CALL THE police THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE 2/1/2009

I worked at Frogo for a few months and it was one of the worst experiences I have had. Jason the owner got threatening and aggressive toward me on numerous occasions. He refused to pay me my final pay check, along with other employees that left. One employee left because she was moving back to Russia, and he made sure that he did not pay her before she left. I got yelled at because, I THREW OUT STRAWBERRIES BECAUSE OF MOLD, AND HE SAID I SHOULD HAVE JUST CUT AROUND IT AND STILL SERVE IT BECAUSE IT WOULD BE A WASTE OF MONEY IF NOT. THE owner is just a want to be intellectual, pretentious prix. I just recently reported them to the you know who's for their poor treatment of employees and to the treatment and handling of food served to the customers. Basically what happened, JASON THE OWNER GOT SCREWED OUT OF PARTIAL OWNERSHIP OF PINKBERRY, MOST LIKELY DUE TO HIS IGNORANCE, IN WHICH NOW HE COPIES ALL OF PINKBERRY'S FLAVORS IN RESENTMENT. HE REALLY IS A SAD SAD MAN. Please PLEASE PLEASE TAKE THIS REVIEW SERIOUSLY THERE IS NOTHING BUT TRUTH. IT's decent yogurt but it's not as healthy as they claim, fraud is on the horizon in this case. Pros: Waste of time Cons: Everything more

Lower & Change the Music! 9/26/2008

I've been here a few times already. I really liked the original tart and the strawberry. I think I might be addicted. Too bad the music and service $ucks @$$! It's way too loud and the manager is rude. I thought I was at a mexican furniture store for christ sake. The last time I went there the guy who helped me (i think it was the manager/owner...from what i've read)was so obnoxious. He striked a deal with me for the yogurt because I wanted the small serving size split into three cups. I thought he'd just charge me for a regular small but then started charging me for the full amnt of three smalls! WTF?! I told him I wouldn't pay and that's when we started playing his favorite game, "" Let's make a deal"". I was extremely upset off. I ended up paying what was agreed but I found him utterly repulsive and die hard. I thought I was at the Swap Meet.Usually the service is pretty good. I'm considering going in there again just to see the ""facts"" they have posted and maybe buy a yogurt and send it to the lab just like Elaine from Seinfeld did. I'm starting to think this yogurt isn't non fat or sugar free. For all I know their secret ingredient might be mayonaisse.I will never go here again. more

The more I go here, the more I like. It's comparable to Pinkberry and such a better value! 9/14/2008

It's a solid alternative to Pinkberry. I like that they only use all natural sugars (as opposed to Pinkberry). The plain tart is good and the rest all taste good too. I agree that the chocolate is more like TCBY (no tartness, very rich). It's also good that they have 4 flavors, with one of them changing daily. Their toppings all look good too, though not quite as fresh looking as Pink's. \r \r Jason behind the counter was very friendly and offered generous tastes of each flavor. \r \r They say this is the first of what they hope will become a chain. We'll see if it works out for them because I fear the location stinks and the market is already becoming saturated with the likes of Pink's, ce' fiore and others. Pros: Taste, Cost, Flavor Options Cons: Location more

The yogurt is great, Customer service excellent, but needs better music selection! 8/11/2008

I guess you can say I'm becoming a regular there. My girlfriend lives in the area and have been there during different times of the day. The yogurt is incredibly addictive, there Froyo Tart is similar to Pinkberry's only not as sour. Very refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness and tart. My girlfriend usually has the coffee. She says it's bold in flavor, just right for the coffee lover in her. Their coffee is a little more pricy than other places but it's organic so you pay for the quality. \r \r They don't recycle though which kinda defeats the purpose of organic.\r \r The atmosphere in the day time seems to be better than the night. The music in the evening is poorly selected which is why my girlfriend and I won't stay there to enjoy our yogurt & coffee. The night shift is the worse. Not only do they play cheesy rock ballads or artists like Elton John and Queen, but the music is always blaring so you can't even hear yourself think. The day time shift plays a nice variety of hip, mellow and upbeat music. You can listen to artists ranging from U2, Beck, Moby, Portishead, Radiohead, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Barry White, Jack Johnson, The Beatles, The Cure and even some great Britpop like New Order, Stone Roses and Pulp to name a few.\r \r They have wifi which is great, but I suggest if you're planing on hanging out to surf the web you take your ipod, unless you're there during the day shift. Pros: Amazing yogurt, bold coffee. Parking, Service, rewards card for the Frogo fan like me Cons: Music poorly selected and too loud, no recycling bins more

Great Service!!! 6/27/2008

The staff was very nice and helpful. They told me the difference between Organic and non-organic Coffee. Their coffee was very strong, which I liked. I like the ambiance of the place. I hope they open in Orange County. If I am in Santa Monica again, I will definitely come here with my kids. Two big green thumbs up for FROGO!!! YO YO YO FROGO!!! Pros: Organic Cons: Need better music more

Good Frozen Yogurt, nice place..... EXPENSIVE coffee! 6/6/2008

I've gone a couple times already. It's very nice and clean, and a good place to burn an hour or two with friends if you're in the neighborhood.\r \r The frozen yogurt is good, as is the coffee. But 3 bucks for a cup of coffee when every other place on the planet sells it for 1.80?!? Honestly there's been a half dozen times already where I've just gone own the street to Peets or Coffee Bean... and I'd rather support a local business.\r \r Hey owners! (yeah you! the ones posting all these fake reviews!) Go visit your competitors and see what they charge! Pros: Nice casual place, good location, tasty froyo an coffee Cons: Coffee is way overpriced! more

great coffee, even better yogurt 5/20/2008

Nice location, friendly workers. Great ambiance, healthy stuff. I think I am addicted to their coffee!!! more

Great LA dessert place. 5/20/2008

Best service. Cute workers!!! Great tasting and awesome concept. Cold go for organic coffee, hot go for cold drinks or frozen yogurt!!! Pros: Parking, Cute Workers, Fast Service Cons: Maybe provide outside seating along Euclid??? more

some can be really A**HOLES!!! 5/9/2008

HaHA~ People can have their own opinions, but those opinions should really be backed up with some class~ meaning people who write tasteless critiques should be embarrassed!!! \r \r I think Frogo has the potential to expand and succeed!!! ( GeeZzz~ just look at the man who owns it!!!! )\r \r I will definitely recommend FROGO to my friends and family!!!! more

Dear ""SU1"" ...Please, Please, Please GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT before making any wrong accusations!!! 5/6/2008

DEAR ""SU1"", I'm usually a RESERVED person and DO NOT enjoy getting into any confrontations or arguments. As a matter of fact, I GO way out of my way to AVOID them. I've never even ""blogged"" before until NOW because I thought it was for people with just TOO much time on their hands. THEN I read your ""blog""....and I couldn't just stand on the sidelines because I think it's morally and inherently wrong to make incorrect and false judgements or accusations...especially when the BASIS for them are completely INCORRECT!!!\r \r I greatly appreciate your ""watch-dog"" vigilence and I'm sure that you have said nothing out of MALICE but good intention. HOWEVER, please know your FACTS before you make any incorrect assumptions and wrongly accuse any one of lying. I TOO did my own ""due diligence"" and have discovered that the frozen yogurt at FROGO is made with CRYSTALLINE FRUCTOSE , an all-natural sweetener found in fruits. It has nothing to do whatsoever with HIGH-FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP....(true, they SOUND similar in name).....BUT you are comparing CATS and DOGS. I can confidently tell you this because I am very sensitive to"" table sugar "", ""honey"" and ""high-fructose corn syrup"" and I've had NO REACTION whatsoever (no headaches, no sleeplessness, etc.) after eating the delicious frozen yogurt at FROGO. Please, please,please.......dear ""SU1""....get your facts straight first. Please recall one of the Ten Commandments....""Do Not Bear False Witness"" ...(however well meant and unintentional it may have been). These good people and young employees at FROGO are starting a new business, the very corner-stone and hall-mark of our American Dream...isn't it FAIR and DECENT to at least give them and anyone else like them a FAIR CHANCE??? Why call ""strike out"" even before someone had a chance to SWING THE BAT!!! Some people like to stomp on other people's dreams...I'm sure you......""SU1"".......are NOT one of those negative naysayers...Are you blogging for a competitor??? Pros: Non-Fat All Natural Frozen Yogurt made with Fructose....NOT table sugar or high-fructose corn syrup....REALLY DELICIOUS & HEALTHY!!! Cons: Their A/C system could be better more

yummy and refreshing! 5/6/2008

I usually am not a big frozen yogurt fan, but frogo's frozen yogurt AND organic coffee was surprisingly tasty! It was creamy and the menu has plenty of variety to choose from. Like the other comments stated, service was great and friendly. Parking was convenient with a public parking in the back, and metered parking along the streets. In my opinion, a lot better than pinkberry and I would definitely come back! Pros: Good Yogurt, Parking, Staff, Ambience more

Unfortunately, FROGO is a NO GO 5/6/2008

I would have rated Frogo Excellent except for one very important factor--the staff is not educated in what they are selling or have been instructed to perpetuate a lie. \r \r When asked if they have anything that is sugar free, they all say ""everything is sugar free"" The main ingredient and why this is so delicous is because it is fructose, the sweetest natural occurring SUGAR, therefore this can be deadly to diabetics! High Fructose corn syrup is in the news everyday for its part in the obesity epidemic sweeeping the country. Please please be HONEST when telling people what they are getting. Not only is it dangerous, I could not recommend going anywhere where dishonesty is a policy in good concience. more

GO FROGO A+++ 5/6/2008

My experience at Frogo was absolutely fantastic. The yogurt is so tasty and the staff was very accommodating towards my big group's needs. We were able to try all the different flavors. It was reminiscent of a nice dessert place that you and the family could go to after dinner. Any of the yogurts are tasty and the fruit toppings were delicious. I also highly recommend the coffee drinks. Coffee definetly has a strong kick over there. I love how parking is convenient as well, not like Pinkberry. I give it 5 stars! Pros: Ambiance, Service, Food, Freshness, Parking more

YUM! 5/3/2008

Mmmmmmm. It's so good. I LOVE the Death by Chocolate and White Chocolate Mousse flavors. I get the medium which at $4.50 seems a little pricey to me- but I think it's really good. It tastes more like soft serve than frozen yogurt. I haven't noticed any ice crystals, and I've been there 3 times. However, I've only had 2 flavors.\r \r The workers are always friendly. \r \r I'm addicted and I can't stop going. Pros: Delicious product, friendly service more
