unique and lovely! 7/25/2008

The owners of Frock You have a great eye for uniquely exquisite clothing from the twenties through the forties. There are a few offerings from more recent decades thrown in as well. These are not trendy, disposable clothes, but pieces you buy as an investment, to keep in your wardrobe and cherish for years. Prices are reasonable for the rarity, quality, and condition of these unusual pieces. more

Frock You Vintage Clothing 9/11/2005

hide your credit card for some not-so-great deals at above market prices; the selection of beach gear is reflective of many desingers and local wahoos who are charging too much. Frock You Vintage Clothing is expensive, and has a bad color selection more

Love the name! 8/19/2005

I had to crack up over the name of this store when I drove past it originally. In fact, I knew I had to go in just based on the name alone. Frock you is a smaller vintage clothing store, but with a pretty good selection. They are located near Henry's Marketplace and the library, so sometimes parking can be a bit tough. They carry both women's and men's clothing, with an emphasis on clothing from the 60s and 70s, though you can find the odd thing or two from earlier decades. There are some shoes and purses, but it is mostly clothing. They also have a small collection of vintage labels and stickers from the Deco era, which are a lot of fun to look at. Outside of the store is a small patio where you can get refreshments and espresso to perk you up after shopping (or as a pre-shopping adventure!). Prices are good, and the people there are very friendly. It seems a lot of people in the movie business come here to find costumes and accessories, so I guess it must be a pretty good find. more

One of the best vintage clothing stores in San Diego 8/11/2005

Frock You features a large selection of men's and women's clothing. The owner's are very knowledgable about vintage clothing, and used to run "Cherry Picker's" Vintage Clothing on Adams Ave a few years ago. Large selection of women's wedgies 1940s shoes, men's suits and vintage ties. They focus mostly on 1930s through 1950s clothing with some 60s-80s mixed in. Prices are very reasonable and they frequently run specials. more

clean clothing 7/24/2005

For a Vintage store, I couldn't believe how clean all of the items were(and how new the smelled). Most vintage stores have this wierd odor to it but when you shop here, you feel like you are shopping in a boutique. There are a lot of button up shirts if that is your thing with a variety of patterns but you can buy pants as well. The items will be pricy but you won't be infected by some weird clothing bacteria. more
