A Tacoma Classic 2/1/2011

Good: The food, especially the burgers and fries. The fries are extra crispy and go great with tartar sauce.. Bad: It can take up to 20-30 minutes sometimes to get your food when its busy since there is just one walk-up window.. Improvements: Outdoor tables would be great in the summer.. Other: Been eating burgers here for over 20 years. They are consistently some of the best in town. The shakes are really good too.. more

Not the best 1/22/2006

Poor, lengthy service, and the food is somewhat more expensive than what I expected. I'm a Dick's Burgers fan, so this heavy greasy food that you have to wait a long time for is not high on my list of places to visit. I'd rather drive to Seattle to get faster, better tasting and, gulp, healthier, faster food from Dick's. The good thing here is that there are many flavors of milkshakes, and they taste good. more

Greasy Burgers and Fries 10/6/2005

My husband and I live just a few blocks from Frisko Freeze, so the aroma of greasy food is almost always in the air. This is a drive-up restaurant specializing in all things fried -- plus ice cream, malts and sundaes. The food is not spectacular -- nor is service all that fast -- but this place holds a special place in the hearts of many residents who grew up stopping for a burger with friends. It's a good, old-fashioned drive up that's worth a stop. more

Best greasy burgers in the world 8/18/2005

I have searched the world in pursuit of a better burger. Haven't found one yet. These are a bit greasy... but good grease. Make sure you hold the burger flat after each bite or the grease/juices will run down your arm. Also if you don't eat it right away, make sure you lay the burgers flat in the to go bag or else the lower side will get soggy. They also have great shakes, fries and onion rings. I have been eating here since the early 80's, along with many other fan's. For quicker service, call your order in about 10 minutes before you expect to arrive. All burgers are cooked to order. more
