Friar's Table

After being told on the phone back in March that they would accept our gift certificate that was going to be three days past due and even writing down the name of who I talked to on the phone, the NEW OWNER said she wouldn't accept it because she doesn't make money on those and offered us a "free dessert". In turn I told them that I would have made an earlier reservation if I would have known this, but the free dessert was all she would do. We have spent years praising this restaurant and were completely shocked that this was the response. In the end, after actually still eating there (which I now wish we didn't) we ordered a dessert and it was still on the bill. Very disappointed that a "classy" restaurant and our favorite restaurant would respond like this. We will never go to this place again and will never talk good of this place again. more

we went for dinner in Jan, we were treated horribly, he was a loud mouth jerk. This WAS a classy place, We have been told that the original owner is back Bravo, when we can confirm this perhaps we will be back. more

Went to celebrate my birthday last nite.My wife was unhappy with her $30 steak & told the nice waitress.Suddenly the manager appeared-loud,obnoxious,rude,&insulting! I thought it was Chef Ramsey or the Soup Nazi ! We won't be back again ! more

I really do not want to give this even one star. we were there on saturday and could not believe our eyes when the manager was so rude and insulting to other customers. it turned our stomachs. we hope they press charges. the manager even called a customer " FAT AS---" we will never go back again . shame on you more

Good: steak. Bad: the waitress and manager (Nick). Improvements: I think Nick should be terminated. Other: I charged my dinner with a visa card. I left a cash tip of ten dollars. Since I always leave a cash tip when I signed my receipt I specifically wrote cash. I would never sign a blank receipt. When I checked my bank balance the next day I was charged an additional $6.51. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager (Nick). When he explained why the additional $6.51 was added to my bill, he claimed that the bank automatically adds a 20% tip. In 40 years I have never heard of an explanation.. more

The Friar’s Table is one of the better restaurants in the area. The prices on the menu may not be for everyone but the food is amazing. They specialize in their finer cuts of meat and lobster. The last time I was here they had a special on there whole lobster. The meal was fantastic. more

This is place has been awhile for awhile. It is an expensive restaurant but they serve some of the best steaks and prime rib in the area. They are famous for their surf and turf but I never could order that much food. I’ve tasted their prime rib and lobster, both items taste great. more

This is a great restaurant but it is really located in a weird place. I had a tough time finding this place the first time I visited this restaurant. This place may have the best rime rib in the area. All the meat is professionally prepared as ordered. The surf and turf is so amazing here. This is a pricey restaurant but the price is well worth the amazing experience. more

Another great restaurant hidden off the path. I ordered the Cajun Prime Rib, which was one of the best tasting steaks I've had. My wife has the surf and turf and I was a bit jealous. Both meals were awesome and the atmosphere was great. Service was impeccable and price was worth the service and quality of food. I will definitely be returning to Friar's Table! more
