The best places to get beers, wines, and spirits are Friar Tuck in Savoy near the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. They have a great selection and their most popular thing is to get a 6-pack of and combination of beers for $7. They have a very friendly staff who will help you pick out the perfect wine for any occasion and they also offer everything at very cheap prices. more

Only place for hard to find beers 9/24/2005

Friar Tuck is the only place in CU where you can find a huge selection of tasty. You can get Dogfish Head, Rogue Ale, Left Hand Brewery, etc. They also have a huge selection of imported beers. Another nice option is the build-a-six pack where you can choose from a selection of bottles. It's a great way to try new things without much risk. more
