A nice choice for the AV... 3/27/2009

This place has a European feel to it... Service is very slow and the quality of service is lacking. Make sure you have lots of time to linger. Food is average to above average. Nice fresh baked bread served with a garlic dipping sauce that is excellent. A musician some evenings who makes a nice evening for entertainment and dinner music --where can you get that in the AV? Romantic and cheery at the same time. The servers are all very pleasant, just the food server's need some refining and training. Overpriced--the quality does not justify the prices.. They ought to include a small dinner salad in the price and step-up on their serving skills and this just might end up being the best place in the AV. Pros: It's one of a kind/not a chain restauraunt. Cons: Over-priced.... Nice choice of entree's. more

Overly Priced for Okay Food 7/30/2007

I was not overly impressed by Fresco II. My husband and I took our two kids there for dinner after reading the first review. When we walked in I asked the man that came to the front desk if we could be seated outdoors and he said ""Yes"" but then proceeded to seat us at an indoor table...? Okay, so we sit down and boosters are promptly brought for the kids as we look over the menus. Extensive wine selection and menu selection, but no kids selection. However when our waitress came over I asked if there were any items for kids...so we ordered chicken fingers and she informed me that I had the wrong menu. So I took the waitresses recommendation of Chicken Marsala and my husband ordered the cheese ravioli and meatball. Chicken fingers came out promptly for the kids, which was nice. Typical chiken finger and fat fries topped with parsley. Soon followed the two other entrees. My Chicken Marsala...TONS of pasta topped with an average size chicken breast. The dish tasted okay, nothing special (I make juicier chicken breasts at home) and a little bland. Cheese Ravioli...my husband said was pretty good (I only tasted the marinara, which was pretty good), but was full before he could eat the meatball. The singer during dinner was good, although the sound was way too loud (I couldn't even talk to my husband across the table). After paying the bill I felt like I had been ripped off, and I have payed alot more for dinner bills. Every entree on the dinner menu is at least $20 (even pasta dishes and pizzas) and I didn't feel like the quality of the food/atmosphere/service merited the price. Pros: Large menu and drink selection, friendly staff Cons: Price of food for average taste more

The Best of the Best, in Old World Cuisine!!!!!! 7/1/2005

I travel and enjoy great cuisine.... From the time I walked through the door, the aromas, took me back to Greece and Italy..Their unique style is evident, in every sense of the way... My mother never made Meatballs and sausage like this!!!!! Their pizzas are rustic, crispy, and delicious.. The pasta dishes, like the spicy seafood was incredible! They do filet, garlic crusted rack of lamb, the calamari, out of this world!!!!!! The owners are wonderful, warm, and make you feel at home.I had to write and tell this myself, if your in Lancaster, you have to try Fresco ll Mediterranean Cuisine. This combination of Greek and Italian, is just delightful, great music, oh, and the beer and wine selection is fantastic!! They will be serving some great martinis soon, the full bar u name it this place has it...Catering, anything you want!!! go there, you will be back!!!! Pros: outdoor seating, large portions, plenty parking more
