Frenchy's Jet Ski & Boat Rntls

My experience renting a pontoon from Frenchy's was excellent! I have rented pontoons before in the St. Pete Beach area and never had such a wonderful experience. The pontoon was in really great shape and the staff just couldn't do enough to help us. I had called another marina before Frenchy's and the price was $100 more for 1 hour less time. I will go back to Frenchy's every time I am in St. Pete. Thanks again guys for the wonderful boating experience..... more

Terrible customer service, My cousins and I rented Jet Ski's and it was fun but the workers were R.U.D.E! As I was pulling my jet ski back in the guy that was guiding me in made me drift into the bridge and I cut my leg but when I got off they didn't even bother to see if I was okay they started looking to make sure I the bridge didn't damage the jet ski! And then after paying $90 to jet ski, the lady told me I should tip the guys $15-$20 for DRIFTING in to the bridge! There was NO way I was doing that! And I didn't even damage it! more

Having been around this area a few times, this is the best place to rent a boat. We really enjoyed our boating day and we saw lots of dolphins. We went for a swim on Shell Island and came back exploring the intracoastal waterway. The boat was very well maintained and everything worked fine. Everybody was nice and we will rent again. more

Terrible customer service. Entire staff was rude and condescending. We rented from them because of location to our hotel. We will be back to area BUT WOULD NEVER RENT FROM HERE AGAIN! more

I had the 19 foot bowrider which was a pretty nice boat. The boat performed well and was easy on gas. Loved the Yamaha engine! Started up easy and was fairly quiet. The guys who help you with the boat briefing were friendly and eager to help load your supplies. The location is pretty good. It gives you easy access to either the gulf or the intercoastal waterway. The boat had nice storage and built in ladders on bow and stern of the craft.Be prepared to spend about $350 for a 6 hour rental. That covers all the extras. more

I rented a boat and had a very bad experience with customer service and the boat, which was in very bad condition. First, one of my kids got hurt with an improper screw placed in the boat. Second, the boat trim was not working properly so that we had to spend two hours to return to the marina (when it takes no more than 45 minutes). The owner did not do anything to assist us considering that we had four children. Then, he used tactics to clean his resposabilities and mistakes. I decided to write this review for all you guys to stay away from this business and please read all the reviews. You will notice that my case has not been the first one. more

Went here for a Jet ski rental. Their Jet skis are good but owner had very bad customer service. It seems that he hates customers coming in. Owner is not very friendly and very intimidating. Came here to enjoy and have fun but ended up disappointed and upset by the way I was treated. All other employees are OK except for the owner.\r I will not recommend this place. Any product should be complemented with a good customer service but unfortunately this place lacks human touch and appreciation for the business that a customer gives them. They don't treat their customer with respect and very arrogant with the way they do business with you.\r more

I have done business with Frenchy a MINIMUM of 15 times over the past few years. I love boating, and I always go with a big group of people to split costs. I usually rent a boat once or twice a month. I'm big on customer service, so when I tell you that I have come back again and again, that really says something. Best rental prices in the Tampa Bay Area, and best location for quick Gulf access. If you are a visitor, you'll love it, if you're a local, you will be back time and time again. I rented a jet ski on 7-2-08 for my wife and I. We were in clearwater for our honeymoon. I researched a few places that were in the area. Frenchy's had the best rate that included everything. Rental, GAS, watch, and a great time. I believe Frenchy was not working so I did not have the pleasure of meeting with him. Yet his employee working at the time I was there was very curtious and informative. I mentioned it was our honeymoon and he added extra time on the rental no extra cost. We went out on the gulf and zipped around for a while. We noticed a few jet ski's and people pointing at something in the water. We went over and saw dolphins. They were all over we got some cool video and pictures of them. One even raced our jet ski as we were on our way back in. Once back they met us at the dock with good customer service and a smile. Myself I had no problem with Frenchy's. I would do business again. Pros: nice jet ski, low price, able to go in the gulf with jet ski more

DO NOT RENT FROM FRENCHY'S! Last Friday, I rented 2 boats from Frenchy's. In the beginning of the transaction, I felt that the owner, Frenchy, was already being rude. Nevertheless, we proceeded to rent the boats. At the end of the day, I pulled in to return the boat. As I docked, Frenchy and one of his crew member jumped in the boat and practically kicked us out. We had 6 children onboard and they were all sleeping and one of my guests, politely told Frenchy that the kids are sleeping and that he should not hurry us out. Frenchy, did not care and proceeded to hurry us out. On top of the rudeness, Frenchy accused me of staining one of the seats and attempted to charge me $250.00 to change upholstery. After I insisted that the stain was already there before we rented the boat, Frenchy became argumentative. He handed me a sponge and a bottle of Softscrub to clean it. After over 20 minutes of trying to calm Frenchy, he called his employee who gave us the boat and he confirmed that the stain was already there. Frenchy's grew more irate and walked away. To make a long story short, Frenchy did not even have the decency to apologize. If you do not want to be nickled and dimed, do not rent from Frenchy's Boat Rental. He is rude and lacks the customer service. Cons: Rude, Lacks Customer Service Skills more
