While Rick's was still in the old house off of the square, I ate there numerous times and although it has now moved to a strip mall on Grove Street, the food was so good that we arranged to have my daughter's bridesmaid's luncheon there. We had a confirmed reservation for 11:30 on 4/17/09. We arrived at the confirmed time with the bridesmaids to find the restaurant closed with a sign on the door that they would be open at 11 AM that day (it was 11:30). They simply didn't show up, didn't open the restaurant and we were stuck trying to find a last minute location for a luncheon on a day when there was a festival in Dahlonega. The owner called to apologize and had no explanation. She acknowledged that we did have a reservation. She couldn't explain why they hadn't bothered to let us know that they weren't going to show up for our reservation. Whether the food is good or not, I'll never eat there again and would not encourage anyone to plan an event there.
Cons: Undependable - for a bridesmaid's luncheon
