So I went to French Bridals along with my mother and my sisters, who were also looking for Prom dresses, to try on a few impromptu wedding dresses. Not only did Linda, the owner, make me feel like I was inconveniencing her, but she also made me feel pressured to buy a wedding dress because "it could be gone in 3-4 months". First of all, my wedding is not until the fall of next year so I am in no hurry and just thought it would be fun to try on different styles-how awful of me! Everything they had there was unoriginal and overpriced. She barely helped me with anything and I had to have my sisters clip dresses so they fitted. Her behavior was pretty shameful and I will never go there ever again. Needless to say, my sisters also did not get a prom dress even though one of them had put a deposit on a dress that another woman had pressured them into just the day before and would not allow them to put the money towards anything other than another dress. She made a huge dramatic stick about it with my mother saying that it was "disheartening" that they would not want this dress that they had tried on and loved for hours while at the store when in actuality they were there for thirty minutes with their other teenage friend who was also pressured to put a deposit on a 600 dollar dress because it could be "gone in the next few hours". What?!? This place is just struggling to survive with the competition and will do anything and say anything to get money from young girls.
