Kids will like this school 9/12/2010

I have looked at a couple of swim schools around but this one looks great. My cousins said to me they like this place because it looks nice and neat and the staff was really friendly. After a few lessons I asked some feedback and they really liked it. Kinda pricey though. more

My 2 daughters really liked Fremont Swim School 10/17/2005

My girls ages 2 & 4 both enjoy Fremont Swim School. The student teachers are really good with the children. We've been to the Newark and Fremont locations. I prefer Fremont for the toys they have in the waiting area for the kids to play with. The water is always nice and toasty. It is definitely more crowded in summer months but we signed up for fall session and it is much less crowded. In fact, my 4 year old has gotten 1 on 1 several times already when the other child is absent from her class. My 2 year old is in the Tiny Tot class with my husband. There is only 1 other child in her class as well. I recommend taking classes 7pm on for less crowdedness and lessons all year round. I would agree that the changing rooms are too small. Overall I'm very pleased with Fremont Swim School. more

expensive but worthwhile 8/14/2005

I'm the first to admit that Fremont Swim School is expensive. A summer's worth of lessons adds up to about $200 per child. But it is such a great place that we keep going back (Newark location). The weater is always *very* warm (and I know because I aprticipate with my kids in the Tiny Tots class) and is not at all intimidating for kids to get into. The pool itself is between 3 and 5 weet deep with long, wide stairs to get in so that children can get acclimated all on their own. The teachers have always been top rate. There is a great observation area for parents to watch their children during the classes. Multiple classes are going at the same time so you can have 2 children in 2 different age groups taking classes at once. Outside of cost, my complaints would be the lack of real changing rooms and that lately some of the classes are getting overcrowded. But the good certainly outweighs the bad here, more

Only Ok 8/11/2005

Fremont Swim School is a nice year-round option because of its covered facility. However, you pay a premium for that roof. This program is considerably more expensive than other programs in the tri-city, especially in the summer. Aide to student ratios leave much to be desired as well. If you've no other choice, they are certainly competent and experienced, but I'd look into other programs before settling on this one. more

welcoming 8/6/2005

My friend teaches at the Fremont Swim School and she is always raving about what a great time she has teaching her fabulous students several times a week. She says that it is the best swim school by far within the tri-city area. She should know, since there are swim meets and competitions with the surrounding schools. This swim school offers lessons to people of all ages and skill levels, there are even partner lessons for parents and children that want to learn together. The facility is in good shape, the pool is heated adequately and kept clean. more
