The SettingThis park features expansive views of Monterey Bay, from its hiking trails in the grasslands of the higher peaks of the Gavilan Range. Other views include the San Benito Valley and the Santa Lucia Mountains. Pine and oak woodlands in the park are home to many birds and mammals. An observatory crowns the summit.The FacilityThe park offers primitive campgrounds, some for families some for larger groups. Although sites can accommodate tents or trailers/RVs, road restrictions in to the park prevent very long vehicles from entering easily.
