A few librarians are a bit unhelpful and unkind, but in general most of them are nice and sociable. They will be ready to help you if you need help, most of them are knowledgeable. more

there's no such thing as too many books 8/12/2005

The library is a great place to hang out. There are lots of tables and comfy chairs. The fiction, foreign language and children's sections are downstairs. Upstairs is the non-fiction, the reference, the magazines and periodicals. You can use the Internet there for free (there is a time limit if people are waiting in line). more

Big library, lots of books, but can't always get what you want 8/11/2005

The Fremont Main Library is a good library on the whole. it's pretty big (2 floors) with a lot of space/tables to sit and study. There is a sizable kids section with a good selection of books, study rooms, and even internet stations. I was able to find a number of book for my research paper on Charles Ives there so the selection is quite good there. The one downside that was that for the more popular books like Harry Potter or the Da Vinci code the waiting list/queue is quite long - I ended up getting it from a different library. more

reading made fun 8/11/2005

A spacious and beautiful library located next to Central Park, the Fremont Main Library has a large children's section, and even occasionally hosts story time readers and other entertainers to amuse the local kids. They have a good inter-library loan system, and the free Internet access is always useful. I particularly liked the self-check out machines, which speed up the process considerably. more
