Brides Beware.
I am extremely unhappy and fed up with Connie. I never like to write reviews but getting married is so important to anyone that I feel that I have to, and you can choose to listen.
It started before the wedding. I would write her emails and try to contact her with no response for over a week at a time. I contemplated just cancelling her service and finding a company that wanted to business, I should have gone with my instinct. I feel that Connie looks at this as more of a hobby than a profession and treated it that way.
When I signed with her she says she will be the photographer at the wedding, not true. They DAY OF my wedding she showed up for the before pictures and informed me there that she would not be staying. Okay fine, but not something I want to deal with that day a little notice prior to would have been great. Her step in actually was better than her and easier to deal with, I wish I would have just hired him to begin with.
After the wedding was when my real headache began. The pictures are posted, I order them I was told two to three weeks for them to come in. As a month passed, then a month and a half (all while she was ignoring my emails) I finally get an email from her saying that she was trying to figure out if I had a credit left over to place towards my mother in laws order. WTF, my order and my mother in laws order are two seperate orders and do not be moving my money I placed with you to pay for hers. Connie was claiming she did not pay for her order. Not true, my mother in law had the credit card receipt from her purchase. Now my pictures are being held hostage, great. My mother in law had to call her personally and argue with her about her order and that she paid, Connie still argued even though the credit card receipt with the payment showing was produced to her.
Finally we get our pictures, over two months late. However, they did turn out great. But dispite my efforts to find out if I had money left over (over four times I asked to find out so that I could use it all up with no response) I was told yes, I started to look for more but the website stopped showing my pictures with no warning. I was never told that I had only until X date to look at them and order more, which would have been helpful. Now I have a credit I cannot use unless I go to Connie's house and sit with her, which as you can probably figure out I would rather not see her ever again. I am going to eat the credit and consider it a "I can't deal with this anymore" payment to Connie, congratulations.
Further, when you go to her house you look through proof books to see samples of her work. I was informed then that I would get a proof book and that I could even purchase that book in addition to my pictures. I was excited to have all my pictures! Not true. ONLY online, which is nice too but the pictures looked terrible online with the lighting and such. Truely I looked like ghost, which made me nervous to purchase those (as you can imagine, espically when they are 6.00 a piece). All she could do was assure me they wouldn't turn out that way, which given the history I doubted.
Bottom line, go with a company which has more than one person to contact there. I am so frustrated that I wish I would have followed my inital thought before the wedding that if this is the way she is before the wedding, what will it be like after. Your wedding is important, use a photographer that feels the same way.
Pros: That there is no star less than one for her.
Cons: nightmare to deal with
