I saw a woman in the supermarket who had a beautiful haircut. I asked where she went. She told me about Free Spirit Salon and her stylist Adrian. She was so excited about her cut and loved Adrian's approach to hair. She said he was ""passionate"". I did not realize what she meant, until I went for my first appointment. He met with me and truly listened to what I wanted and what lifestyle I led. He worked on my hair with such passion and enthusiasm. He made me feel SO special and I walked out looking amazing. He actually had hundreds of hair cut pictures on his iPad that we used to find the perfect cut and style for me. I am now the person that gets stopped in the supermarket. People are now asking me where I get my hair cut. I have short hair, so a great cut is important to me. Adrian cuts with such precision and is so creative with my color. He does it all!!! I love my hair cut and color and I highly recommend Adrian to anyone who wants a knock out look!! more

I recently visited Free Spirit Salon and I wanted to let people know what an amazing experience I had. My color was done by Izy who is an absolute pro. She did a flawless job and I suggest anyone looking for a great color experience go to see her. My cut was done by Adrian Gutierrez. He gave me the BEST haircut I have EVER had. He provided suggestions which were right on target and literally walked me thru step by step how to get the most out of this haircut. I would walk on hot coals to see Adrian again for my next cut. I live 14 hours out of state - originally from Atlanta - and make a trip to Atlanta to have Adrian and Izy do my hair. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Superb salon. more

Yes, the secret is out and now we have to share him :-) I call him Maestro, he is truly gifted and is great at what he does. An all around hair dresser who takes the time to understand the clients lifestyle and actually listens to them. How many hair stylist do you know who take the time to teach you how to blow dry your hair to achieve the look you want? Well you have that in Adrian. He gives you his full attention and makes you feel like a million dollars babe when you walk out. I like the fact that he takes his time to cut my hair and give me a precision haircut. Now the frosting on all of this is the color. Adrian has his secret recipe and he can spice things up based on the season. Nice to know we don't have to travel far to get the best cut and color :-) more

I have lived in the Atlanta area for over 30 years and have frequented many Buckhead salons over the years. When I found Adrian and Free Spirit Salon in Alpharetta, I was so excited as they are much like the salons of Buckhead...only better and closer to my home on the north side of town! Adrian and the staff there are consummate professionals...eager to please and excited to serve their clients. Adrian is constantly re-inventing himself as he continues to educate himself and his staff, going to hair shows all over the country. My hair was mid-way down my back and I needed someone with great talent, as Adrian does, to help me find my new, extremely short hair style. I live in Buckhead and went to several high end salons when I moved here 7 years ago. I paid a lot of money and although my hair looked good after it was done, the work was never consistent. I met a girl at Sacks and her hair looked amazing. Adrienne is a perfectionist and he truly cares about my color and hair cut being flawless. He has a vision like no other and I have never had a bad expereince. My hair color is always the right shade of blond and becuase he gets so close to the root, I don't have to come every 4 weeks. Adrienne cares about his work and pelasing you. He is worth driving to exit 7 on 400. He will actually save you time and money because your will never be unhappy with his work. You would be lucky to get a appointment with him. more

I've lived in Atlanta since 1987. I've been to some of the best salons in the Atlanta area. From East Andrews to Phipps Plaza to Sandy Springs to Roswell to Alpharetta; I've had some of the ""best"" cut and color my hair. My quest for the perfect colorist/hairdresser ended when I met Adrienne at Free Spirit . He told me that when he was young, he wanted to become a surgeon. He cuts hair with an incredible degree of precision and concentration . I can see the surgeon in him when he cuts my hair. He also has a painter in him. He's the only colorist who has given me the gorgeous ash blond color I love. He gives me the variance and rich, summer-like tones that make me feel incredible until my next appointment. I love Adrienne. I love coming to Free Spirit. Victor and Sandy and their staff make you feel right at home and a member of their salon family. When I was in my mid twenties, I had the good fortune of getting my hair done on Newbury Street in Boston, every month. It was a lovely salon, with a lovely view and an extraordinary talent called, Allan! He worked between Boston and New York, and I loved him. But more importantly I loved what he could do for my hair! Every month he transform me from a brunette into a warm, soft blonde. The color was luxurious! My hair after each visit, perfection. Most excellent. Since moving from Boston, I have never had that same experience .... where I left there feeling like a million bucks. Well finally afew months ago, I walked into the Free Spirit Salon, and met Adrian Gutierrez. He has restored my faith in the ""experience"". To once again, be handed safely into the hands of a true artist. To watch him work, is like watching the muscian playing the violin. He has mastered his craft. Not only is he truly deft in his work, but he raises the bar on his other objective. To make you happy! Imagine that, someone that holds above all else their integrity and a real measurement of pride in their work. With every fiber of his being, he is gracious and a genuine professional. Adrian Gutierrez and Izzy Patton are amazing hair stylist! After moving away from Alpharetta to West Cobb I left Free Spirit because of the drive. After the worse hair experience of my life ""blonde hair turned merlot red and lots of tears."" I walked back into the salon in tears and Izzy and Adrienne did their magic- Adrian and Izzy are worth the drive and every penny! more

Went to Free Spirit for the first time and couldn't be happier. I saw Izzy for my color and Adrian for my cut. Izzy was great with her advice and helping me decide what to do. Im getting married and was hesitant about making a change so close to my wedding. My color usually gets screwed up because I have red undertones but like my hair dark. She gave me exactly what I wanted! Then Adrian took his time explaining to me what he was going to do to help shape my style and make sure it was what I wanted. I had a bad cut a few months ago and was scared to let anyone else touch it because I wanted to keep it long. He was very patient and detail oriented. I've never had anyone spend so much time on a hair trim!! My hair looks amazing!!! The entire staff is extremely friendly and made sure that I was comfortable throughout my visit. Izzy even taught me a few makeup tips while my color was processing. You get what you pay for with this salon. Money well spent to have such talented, compassionate stylists. HIGHLY recommended!!! more

I have been going to Free Spirit for over 5 years after a friend forced me to start caring about my hair. I was scared beyond belief to start cutting it with a style and start coloring. My stylist Adrian calmed my fears and gave me a fantastic easy maintenance cut and amazing color. I'm afraid to get my color done with anyone else as he does such a good job. I get red with highlights and receive compliments all the time. My cut is now done with one of his proteges and I still love it. If you want a cheap cut + color you'll want another salon... but you certainly get what you pay for with Free Spirit. The talent is great and the customer service matches. more
