Excellence all around 9/1/2011

FRCS is an excellent school, providing a safe and welcoming Christian environment, top notch academics, and broad athletic and extracurricular activities. My 3 kids have attended there since kindergarten, and we couldn't be happier with FRCS. more

Excellent Academics with a Christian Worldview 11/5/2010

I have three children at Franklin Road Christian School and I am very pleased with the advanced academic curriculum, as well as champion athletics and fine arts! FRCS is accredited by NCA, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and each teacher is state certified. The faculty know each student and family personally, and meet each student's academic needs. The Word of God is woven through the daily curriculum, and students learn to lead a life of Christian service. FRCS students score higher than 75% of students nationwide on the nationally normed Stanford Achievement Test. The academic rigor in grades 9-12 provide dual college credit for our high school students. This is an excellent Christian education where students and families thrive! more

Think twice 5/19/2008

As a graduate of FRCS myself I have one word of advice for prospective families that are looking at this school as a possibility, don't. Sending your children here will only be doing them a disservice. The curriculum is substandard in the areas of mathematics and even more so in the sciences. The official line presented in the weekly, attendance is required, "chapel" service is nothing more than an indoctrination tool to teach children that the god of Brightmoor Tabernacle is the only truth in the world. This cultic approach to God and spirit is the last thing we need more of. In a time of increasingly violent fundamentalism across the globe FRCS has managed to build a Christian "Madrasah". This ideology does nothing beneficial instead all it does is foster xenophobic and ethnocentric thinking. more

Founded in 1986, the district operates various elementary, middle and high schools. Its facilities include media centers, gymnasiums, science and computer laboratories, and art and music rooms. The district s schools conduct classes in Bible study, science, history and language arts. Its schools offer programs related to science, math, reading and writing. Franklin Road Christian School organizes a range of sports activities that include golf, basketball, volleyball, softball, baseball and cross-country. Its schools provide scholarships for eligible students. The district s schools organize seminars and camps, as well as provide counseling and food services. Franklin Road Christian School is a ministry of Brightmoor Christian Church.
