Great Value 2/4/2006

The Franklin Cafe is a hip place to grab a bite. Offering new takes on American cuisine for under $20, it's one of the best values for your money in all of Boston. The service here is excellent and suprisingly friendly. The only problem with this restaurant is the exhorbenant wait to get a table. With it's "no reservations" policy and nine tables with slow turnover it may take 2-3 hours to be seated on a busy night. It's worth the wait though. more

Great bar, great food, great atmosphere 8/2/2005

Worth the trip to the South End, the Franklin Cafe is a wonderful place for a delicious, creative dinner. The menu changes often, but the choices are always fantastic. Dark and cozy, it is great on a cold winter night. The bar area is always crowded and the mix of people is very interesting. Kitchen stays open late. more
