New Britain General Hospital is proud to be the only acute-care, community-based general hospital in New Britain, Connecticut. Our comprehensive and sophisticated healthcare services are delivered in a compassionate manner whether on an inpatient or outpatient level. Since its opening in 1899, the hospital has remained committed to its mission to deliver quality, accessible and cost-effective healthcare to the central Connecticut community. And as a teaching hospital, we are dedicated to providing an environment conducive to the education of physicians and health-related professionals.

To address the changing healthcare needs of the community, NBGH continually evolves by adding new services and enhanced technologies. We are a 330-bed, 32-bassinet hospital that counts among its staff nearly 400 community-based physicians and a support staff of highly experienced and compassionate medical professionals. NBGH is accredited by the Joint Commission on the A ccreditation of Healthcare Organizations and has received national recognition for excellence in numerous areas, most recently being named one of the Top 100 hospital ICUs in the country by Solucient Leadership Institute.

New Britain General Hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including, but not limited to, obstetrics, cardiology, oncology, endocrinology, infertility, behavioral health and neurology. In addition, the hospital offers numerous clinical trials through the clinical research center.
