Best

Atmosphere is great and the food is amazing.

Worst

The restaurant is overpriced. The waitress was argumentative when I bill was incorrect. It was a bad experience for a birthday dinner for my whole family.

Wonderful food, but very crowded and noisy on weekends. more

It was my third time at Francesco's but this one should be the last one. First, the service was terrible. The waitress was not smily at all except when we asked for the check. She looked bored or like she didn't want to be there, which is very embarrassing for the customer. \r We ordered a bottle of wine and she poured a little bit in each glass before taking the bottle in the back of the restaurant. I don't like that and I had a doubt when I saw her taking our bottle to serve another table. \r When she came back 5 minutes later, we indeed couldn't believe how little there was left in the bottle. we told them it was wrong and we couldn't be fooled. they admitted their mistake and brought us a new bottle of wine.\r We ordered a ceviche each: last time, they served it as an appetizer which was enough for me (as I couldn't even finish it) for 17$. This time, she asked if we wanted it served as an appetizer or as a entree (didn't know there was the 2 options, as it's not showed on the menu. It came as an entree but on the check, the price jumped to $24, although the quantity was the same, just presented differently. The dish was slightly too acidic to be enjoyed.\r As for an appetizer, we ordered Scallops to share, we had 3 tiny little ones for $12. That is $4 the scallop, not so good... I don't call this an appetizer, but an amuse-bouche.\r I know what good food is and I'm ready to pay the price for it, but this was NOT worth it. The prices are too pretentious.\r This was overall not a pleasant dining experience, and I am now looking for a new peruvian restaurant in town. more

EXCELLENT FOOD 2/4/2012

Excellent sea food and authentic Peruvian dishes.\r Service is good, not excellent\r But caveat on the wines. Forty two dollars for a half\r bottle of a nondescript Napa Valley Cavernet?\r Also, eight dollars for the vallet parking?\r Yes, it will be my first and last visit to Francesco more

I had lunch with a friend who happens to be Peruvian. She ordered and I was delighted. The ceviche was amazingly good. I am not a huge scallop fan as they are usually over cooked, but these were really good. I loved everything she ordered and the wine our server selected for us was just like I like it...not too sweet, not too dry. We had a lovely meal and I would definitely go back.....with her! Loved it. (The only thing I wish was that they had a liquor license as I love a good pisco sour). more

I went to Francescos for dinner on a Tuesday. I am from Venezuela and love trying different food.\r The food was delicious, wine very nice and the service staff very attentive. If you are looiking for a nice ambience, graet food and friendly service you should go there. Try the tuna appetizer and the rice on squid ink sauce, the server recomended that to me and was the best! more

Food presentation was horrible.Wine list mediocre. It's a five star wannabe that only meets that standard in its prices. The ceviches were unexpectedly mediocre at best and drowned in sauces in a bed of lettuce. Come on! Will never go back and will not recommend it to a friend. There are many other good ceviche options in Miami far better than this restaurant. more

Francesco is terrible. I went to the one in coral gables because i love the one in lima, but it was simply horrific. The seafood was old and smelly, i had the causa and it was literally 3 shrimp and a lump of mash. Super overpriced and disastrous service. more
