We contracted Foxx Movers after our daughter had apparently had two good moves with this company. After settling in at her second home, she noticed that a very expensive flower girl dress is missing and has never been found.\r
We moved from Cypress to a city 160 miles away. The 6 movers spent a short 4 hours loading 2 trucks and by noon they were gone without asking if they were finished. This resulted in a gigantic problem for us because we had to rent a trailer and truck and make 4 roundtrips to our new hometown some 160 miles away. The household items were stored for over 4 months and when we contracted a local mover (Accurate Moving - firemen who move customers in their off time), we watched as all of our items came out bent up or completely destroyed by Foxx. Our beautiful 3 year old Tempurpedic bedding had splinters as long as 10"" in the sides of the mattress itself and the platform it sits on. The mattress was so torn up and had not been boxed or protected in any way. The warranty on this expensive item is now void because of the damage the movers had done. Their trucks had wood siding and our storage room in the destination city was metal. We also had 2 beautiful table lamps which we had wrapped with rugs - the movers replaced with a yoga mat and when we received them out of storage, one had an inch and one half hole in the base, and the 2nd one had yoga mat stains which ruined the paint on the base of the 2nd lamp. Our 6 units of storage for our office was badly gashed and ripped up. One was completely destroyed and another is missing altogether. When Chuck (the owner of Foxx) was confronted with our problems, he simply stated, ""you had a good move, and we are not responsible for anything that happened to your possessions once it was off-loaded into storage"". We left to buy lunch for the 6 careless movers and this must have been the same time that the damaged items were quickly shoved into our 2 storage rooms and the 6th unit was thrown away. Chuck's foreman for this job said he has worked for him for over 12 years, and asked us what Chuck had quoted for the move from storage to our new home. When he received the answer, he said, ""if you rent the truck, we'll do the job for half that price"". \r
This is one of the most unethical companies I've ever seen. Contracting Foxx Movers is a very risky thing. DO NOT USE THEM!
