Fox Valley Thrift is by far the best Thrift store in the area. Both the Appleton and Green Bay locations offer great variety(thought the green bay one is a little bigger). Like any thrift store if is hitt or miss, but they have by far the most reasonable prices of any thrift store I have been to! Pros: Half Price Color Day Cons: Gets picked over later in the day... ah the appleton thrift stores; often thoroughly picked-over by the valley's most dilligent eclectics, the Fox Valley Thrift Shoppe is no exception. i have, however, through my years in the Fox Valley, found some of my most treasured posessions within it's walls. favorite sections are as follows: the little boy's section (great button-up shirts with sleeve-lengths perfect for a young gal like myself), the thread/sewing section (beautiful thread colours, lots of odd vintage printed fabrics) and the shoe section (although good shoes are a rarety) its cheaper than goodwill, also 1/2 off days based on the colour of the tag on the clothing (ex: mondays, blue tags, etc.) nice books. nice location. nice. nice. nice. so nice. Pros: cheap pretty things Cons: sometimes you go home with nothing but a pair of socks. unless socks from thrifts are gross. to me, they are not. but to some. they are. more
