Fox Creek Golf Club & Driving

Fox Creek is conveniently accessed from all points North of Atlanta - being only a mile west of I75 on Windy Hill. It is an executive course, having only one par 5 and 6 par 4's. The course is slightly hilly and enjoyable to play. The greens are in good condition but the fairways are slightly weather-beaten at present. Senior rates are favorable. more

My husband and I recently played Fox Creek Golf Club and found it both challenging and enjoyable. Moving from California where our Golf courses are more flat, unlike the hill GA courses, Fox Creek gavee us both the hills and the flat fairways. Fairways were in great condition. Having six par 4's and one par 5 challenged me to stay on fairways. \r \r Knowing there were water holes, definitely gave me the incentive to make extra effort on T's and fairways to clear the water holes. I found the greens challenging, and had to really practice putting control patience. \r \r This is a great course for Women. We definitely lookk forward to playing the course agin. more

Great course to brush up on your short game. Can play the entire course without pulling out the driver. Small greens and extremely difficult pin placements will frustrate low handicappers as well. 3 putts are not uncommon. Course is fun, well maintained, and reasonably priced. Staff does a great job. more

Fun course for Senior Players. The front nine is pretty tough with two par threes are up hill and average about150 yards. The Greens are Champion Bermuda and roll true. \r \r Staff is excellent and work hard to make your round enjoyable. I try to play Fox Creek every week and also their sister course Legacy Golf Links.\r \r I highly recommend both courses highly\r \r more

I am fairly new to golf and was told by a golfer friend that I should start at Fox Creek. I first golfed there a few months ago and heard about the Senior Cobb Foxy Group that plays on Wednesdays. I am now a regular and attempt to play every week. The instuctors and staff at the course are tremendous and very helpful. The greens are well maintained. The practice areas are also great. I highly recommend this course. more

My wife and I played the Fox Creek course for the first time on 9-27-11. Having recently moved from California, I was looking for a course that had more flat fairways like in CA. After trying four other Georgia golf courses (and being tired of hilly fairways causing too many lost balls) I have finally found a course that is fun yet challenging. Although this Executive course is shorter than the usual 18 hole course, it plays more like a regulation length course and gives the golfer a chance to use fairway woods. This course has six par 4 holes, one par 5 and eleven par 3 holes. If you want to put like a pro, try the Fox Creek greens, Theses greens are some of the best in the state, fast and roll true. If you miss the putt it was you that missed! I try to play this course at least once a week, it's keeps my short game sharp. I think the best thing about this course is it makes you think before every shot. If you hit to the wrong side of the pin you are looking at a three putt for sure. I have been playing this course for two years now and I can say it helped me take 7 strokes off my game. I first played at Fox Creek years back when EWGA was getting started in Atlanta but hd not been back in a while because I moved to another part of town. I played there this Saturday AM, and was not disappointed! \r \r The course is in great shape, as are the greens considering our lack of rain in ATL. Bottom line is I need short game skills. Fox Creek offers the perfect balance of short game, time of play, convenience, and value for me to shave a few strokes off my score, while helping me get some course management skills, without the boredome of the practice range.\r \r Greens are playing about as good as any course you can find. These facilities are under new management and it shows. Al Morrison and his band of merry minions are all about customer service and are eager to accommodate golfers. There was a time when I avoided this course but not anymore. \r \r Money is being put into both courses and facilities. It'll take some time to garner perfection but they are headed in the right direction. \r \r There are a couple of issues with drainage but they're being addressed. Other than that, the staff and facilities are well worth the time and money. \r \r I've played several tournaments at both facilities and the staff is involved and helpful. These two courses are rapidly becoming a nice little gem for the city of Smyrna. more

These facilities are poorly managed and poorly maintained. They put absolutley no money into providing a quality product and services. The staff are underinformed and cannot answer simple questions. It is plain to see they operate on a shoestring budget as every facet is extremely mediocre at best. The range balls are always worn out without dimples or when they do buy new balls they are the absolute cheapest golf ball on market and no 2 balls fly the same and with much less distance than quality range balls. The range tee is always hit off and there is never any new turf. they move the range tee about 4 inches each day so you are constantly hitting off dirt and rocks. The golf courses are equally poorly maintained. Splintered rakes and flagsticks will give you fiberglass splinters. Course is always muddy with poor drainage and litter everywhere. Pro shops have no food or merchandise. I used to play here when these courses were properly run, then they changed management about 11 years ago. Now these facilities are run into the ground and are a disgrace!!! Don't waste your money!! For nearest alternatives-go to Marietta Golf Center for range practice or Marietta City Club for playing. You'll be glad you did! Pros: Avoid Legacy and Fox Creek Golf Courses!! Cons: These facilities are poorly maintained and poorly managed. more
