We booked the Fox Banquets for our wedding and it turned out amazing. We had horrible weather that day and with everything that could have went wrong Debra did an amazing job! I couldn't have asked for better people to be handling the details of my biggest day.She handled everything I didn't have to worry about a thing I knew they would do a fantastic job and they did. Debra was a pleasure to work with we loved her. I would recommend this facility to anyone and everyone!! more

We had our son's wedding in August of this year and were so happy with how everything turned out. Debra's advice was appropriate and everything was set up just as discussed. It looked beautiful when we arrived and the food was just delicious (including the appetizers, main meal and snacks). We took a risk by not having a tasting and based our decision on reputation. We received numerous comments that this was the best wedding meal our guests had ever had and I believed it because we felt the same. The food was of good quality, taste, portion and temperature. The wait staff was polite and attentive. We had a few glitches (i.e. CD not compatible with their player but we should have checked that prior to the event) but none of these glitches involved the facility. The room was perfect for the size of our party. Overall, we had a wonderful party and I highly recommend this facility. more

We had our daughters wedding there just a week ago. I'll start with the good. The staff did a nice job setting everything up. We dropped off everything on Thursday and It looked beautiful at the reception. It did cost $300 . Their info flyer states ""We will set everything up, we take everything down"" .But we were told at the end of the night to"" take whatever is yours"" they wouldn't know what is ours. We had to take everything down and box them up ourselves the night of reception .\r Food was okay, what you would expect from wedding food. I was disappointed because I had high expectations due to reviews. During dinner we heard Debra screaming at the waitstaff to stop standing around and get out there and pick up the plates, we had not finished eating and they were picking up our dishes.\r We enjoyed the wine. they had a nice selection and our guests really had a good time.\r Debre had us type up a bullet list to bring on the Thur before wedding. That was very useful, we went over all our preferences and were told if they could not accomodate us. Everything was as we had requested night of reception.\r Room was very crowed!! We had a small wedding only 135 guests, we were told we would have to have a minimum of 200 to be in the larger room downstairs. I can't imagine more people crowded into that room. It was difficult to get in and out of your chairs without bumping into people. The wait staff had a difficult time.\r Debra could be very difficult to work with. At times she was bossy, condescending and pushy.\r They only have 2 options for beer.\r I didn't realize that the $2500 minimun was for dinner only, does not include hors D'oeurve and is before the 20% tax, tip add on. \r Debra did suggest we serve ice cream with our wedding cake to use some of the money we had to pay. Debra returned calls promptly\r There was construction going on on Kimball Street, We were told by Debra that the roads would be open before our wedding, they were still closed. It was very difficult to get to the recetion site. We could have warned our guests had we known. more

i am getting married june 16 2012 and i wnt here on april 16th for my consultation. and debra was very rude to start with, my mother, my children and myself were looking around the hall on the top floor and she was yelling for us, helloo, you who, and that turned me off right away, i mean really you can't walk 2 more feet to come and introduce yourself?!?! well then she wouldn't let us ask the questions we wanted, she kept telling us let me go over the info then u can ask questions, she treated us like we were in kindergarden. i knew what i wanted and i didn't care about other weddings that were there or what other people did. and as far as their $500 deposit, she wouldn't work with us at all, we were going to pay 1/2 then and 1/2 in 2 wks. have you seen this economy latley?!? so she was very rude, unprofessional, and i found a better place for 1/2 her price!! i wouldn't NOT reccommend this place to any of my friends that are getting married !!! \r more

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at Fox Banquets. We chose to pay for the decorations package and were very pleased with the sight that greeted us when we arrived following pictures. Our decorations were artfully displayed on all the cocktail tables and the dinner tables were set according to my specifications. Fox Banquets provided twinkling lights for the stair banister and also some silk floral arrangements on the hors d'ouevres table. The food was delicious and hot. The staff were all very friendly. The owner, Deb, is very experienced. My wedding day was a dream! more

I have never in my life treated as poorly as I was tonight by the owner of Fox Banquets. I stopped by after work (I work two blocks away) to check on the choices my son and his soon to be bride made for their rehearsal dinner. I first had to search for an office, a one was not obvious, and when I found it I was greeted by the owner in a condescending tone. Her first words were ""did you have an appointment."" It got worse from there.\r \r If it weren't so close to the wedding I would have cancelled and booked somewhere else. \r \r Run away from this venue\r more

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Fox Banquets. Deb and her staff did a fabulous job. We purchased the decorating package and it was the best purchase we did for our wedding. On December 30, 2009 we had our son's rehearsal dinner here. WOW. It couldn't have been better! From Debra's planning help on menu choices to the beautiful lights of Appleton out the windows during the meal, it was perfect. We had our own room with a bar, a very friendly and efficient bartender and awesome waitresses! The food was FANTASTIC and the dessert portions were big enough for 3 people! We simply couldn't have been happier and would recommend this place highly. (By the way, we also went to a wedding here in August and again, the food was luscious and the service superb.) A friend referred Fox Banquets to us and my husband and I (married 8/8/09) booked the hall. The place is beautiful and if you decide to do your own decorations, what you need is very minimal. I felt a little overwhelmed by Debra as she's experienced and had many definite suggestions to make. Our wedding party was running almost an hour late to dinner - but many kudos to the chef and wait staff as the food was absolutely delicious! We booked the church service which had to be a late service at 7:30 p.m.\r We also chose the date of August 28, because we have four granddaughters going to college. This way they were able to be there. \r The dinner service was excellent, the food was great. It was decorated so beautiful. \r We had a group of 29 people. \r Everyone complimented how nice everything\r went. My son and new daughter-in-law had their wedding reception at Fox Banquets recently. It was absolutely beautiful! I received so many compliments from our guests. Everyone commented on how beautiful the decor was and how delicious the meal was. I have to agree! The meal was great and it was served hot from the first guest to the last guest ... which can be a big problem sometimes. The staff was very courteous and helpful and the decor could not have been better. The bride and groom made an exceptionally good choice! more

We got married this past Saturday and had our wedding reception at Fox Banquets. Everything was great - from the decor to the service and especially the food. We had numerous guests compliment us on the food, it was delicious and hot and served on time! I cannot recommend this place enough. Debra Michiels knows banquets and she knows how to make them go smoothly. She has years of experience and comes prepared with suggestions. At the same time, she listened to everything we wanted and made sure it all happened. I do not have one complaint about this location or the staff there. I highly recommend them for any event!
