Have been going to Fours since the 70's: called Number 4's then, far from yuppie, 1/4 its current size, notty pine paneling, one small bar with wooden stools named after each of the Bruins, sat with Cashman, Espo, Cheevers, Orr, etc. and actually had conversations with them. Some of the same people still work there. Kitchen was a grille at the window streetside, steak and cheese just as good now as then. Great food and atmosphere, reasonable prices for Boston. Non-alcohol you can get 2 meals for less than $40.00. Tons of Small TV's, no room for big ones (too much sports memorabilia on the walls). Plus Boston is the championship city right now, so SI was right naming it #1. Try it!
Pros: great food, great "city" prices, great atmosphere
Cons: Crowded before events, no parking lot, loud
