The apartment itself is...okay, I guess. The kitchen is TINY - we had to install shelves in the coat closet for it to be a pantry since there is so little storage space in the kitchen. Bedrooms are okay, bathrooms are all right.
The problem is the property management. Elizabeth is super-sweet right up until you need something, then she gets condescending and brushes off any concerns you've expressed. There are never any weekend office hours - hopefully you work nearby and can take some time off during your workday if you need to actually go to the office for something! - and the phone number for "on-site private security" after hours just goes to a message service where you can leave a complaint that someone will handle in the morning. I felt more secure at my previous apartment in a much rougher neighborhood than I do here - my car never got broken into there, but had been broken into within six months of moving here, and a few months later my license plate was stolen.
Also! If you have pets and you're not comfortable about workers being in your apartment with said pets without you present (my cat tends to try to get out when people open the door so I don't trust strangers to be careful enough not to let her get by them), you'd better be able to take off 2-3 days while they work their way through the complex doing whatever testing or upgrades they're doing, because they absolutely will not work with you to make sure you can be there while they're there. They'll get to you when they get to you, and you "should've made arrangements for your cat" - like what, exactly? Put her in a boarding kennel for a couple days or something? But Elizabeth wouldn't answer that question of course.
I am counting the days until my lease is up here and I can find somewhere to live where I actually feel like property management cares about anything but themselves.
