Plans for a boat rental were made over a month in advance with numerous communications about the timing and needs. When the day came to have the boat delivered to the lake they weren't ready. The person that originally came to help us wandered off to try and sell a pontoon boat, rather than deal with my wife and I. At one point he came back and told us the computer was down, so he couldn't help us, but while he was out trying to make his sale I looked and it was up (I'm a senior Systems Engineer that supports 150+ servers in a 50 billion dollar corporation - I know a computer lie when I hear one). Then another person came out to help us and they had no idea what arrangements had been made, or what had been done so far. Eventually they gave me a walk through of the boat. which revealed that the trim didn't work properly and it was in moderately rough shape. Their little chart of surface damages was so inaccurate I took pictures of the entire boat before signing off on it. This set of processes took over an hour with more than 45 minutes of it just waiting on them. Then we were supposed to follow them to the dock for drop off. I asked how much longer and the person was visable irritated with the question even though we'd been waiting over an hour already and told me that it was only 15 minutes away. At one point their driver pulled into a gas station lifted the hood of the truck and went inside. When he came out I asked if there was a problem and he said the engine light was on. After calling the shop he closed the hood without doing anything and took off (another lie?). 40 minutes later, still following their truck I called the shop and asked if there was a problem, since the lake was only 15 minutes away. There ws no mention of a truck problem, but instead I was told he was lost. He got lost a second time at which point he pulled over and said it wasn't his fault. Eventually we got to the lake. After he struggled for 15 mintues to get the boat unhooked by beating on the chain with a block of wood he found we were finally on our way to the cabin. All in all what was supposed to have been a document signing and delivery that was expected to take 30-45 minutes turned into almost 3 hours. They refused to provide any compenstation for the cost of the delivery ($150) even though they had us following them around burning gas for almost an hour and a half. They considered it a minor inconvenience. Their customer service was amongst the worst I've seen in years. I cannot recommend them.
Pros: Don't ever have to go back to them
Cons: Terrible service and a lack of personal responsiblity
