Fortune Wok is our ""go to"" place for great casual dining. The decor is elegantly oriental, without being clichéd. The wait staff is attentive and unobtrusive. I eat there about once a month with both business guests and family and have never had a disappointing meal or experience. The best part is they feature lunch specials on Sunday! For well under $10 (in 2010 AD), a special includes soup, egg roll / crab rangoon, and a generous portion of wonderful, authentic Chinese food. I give Fortune Wok my highest recommendation (and repeat business). more

get your asian cuisine elsewhere! 5/17/2007

ive been there twice and the food was horrible. none of my friends have liked it either. my personal experience was that i got the wrong order. the service was poor so i asked to speak to a manager and he had a less than caring attitude. more

Wow! This is good! 3/15/2007

We went to the new one ( metcalf and 145th) and its really cute inside and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food is awesome and the service is decent. We had Moo Shu beef and Peking duck and beef chow fun ( noodles). Their price maybe is bit more than others but its definititly worth it!!! We would definititly go back again. Parking is easy and highly recommended :=) more

THIS IS THE BEST CHINESE FOOD I'VE HAD SINCE LEAVING THE MELTING POTS OF CALIFORNIA AND HAWAII. I HAVE BEEN TO BOTH LOCATIONS, AND HAD THE SAME CONSISTENT GREAT SERVICE AND FOOD. THE MONGOLIAN BEEF IS EXCELLENT, AS IS EVERYTHING ELSE. THE METCALF LOCATION JUST OPENED A SUSHI BAR TOO, I CAN'T WAIT TO TRY IT. BO LING'S CAN'T COMPARE. more

Best Chinese Food I have ever had. 6/11/2006

After eating here you will never want to eat chinese at any other restaurant again. They are a great deal for lunch, but still worth it for diner. They have the best sesame chicken. Carry out is easy, but dining in is more fun! It is very nice inside and the service is always very quick. I recommend this restaurant. Pros: amience, food, service more

This is the best Chinese restaurant in town. We enjoy the food, the dining area..everything every time we are there. Highly recommanded. They also offer the best Gluten free dishes!! I just found out they have another location at Metcalf & 145th St. which is much bigger dining area. I had my birthday party there. It was Great..... more

Best Chineese Food in KC 1/12/2005

In my opinion, this is the best kept Chineese food secret in America. Everything on the menu is perfect. I wish it had more seating, but takeout is a breeze and always ready (if not earlier) than promised. Hot and Sour Soup is the best. I've tried most of the menu dishes and have never had a bad experience. Service is top notch and owner is extremely friendly. I've never been in there when he's not been there. Very customer service conscious. Pros: Food Quality, Service, Reasonable Prices more
