Fortune House

i wasn't big on it the first time i had take out...but i did give it another try and i'm SO happy i did. i had a bad experience with the tofu, which wasn't that flavorful to me... but every other meal i've had there is delicious. i absolutely love the kung pao shrimp, dumplings, even chicken and beef dishes and i don't like chicken/beef very much. the restaurant makes you feel like family and it's very clean and a very pleasant atmosphere - not cold like many others. give it a go, i guarantee you'll love it! more

We order delievery every week. They are prompt, friendly, and bring delicious, authentic chinese. Adapt the food for dietary restrictions when necessary. Restaurant is clean and quiet. We love it! more

Fortune House is the best Chinese restaurant in Rhode Island. This review comes from an extremely "picky" Chinese food eater. The owners are extremely nice and the food is all cooked to order. I highly recommend it. more

This restaurants is a great place for business/ families. The music is tranquil the food is exquisity. The plates are arranged with a gracious taste. The restaurant is perfectly clean and so are the restrooms. They accomodate you promptly. I highly remcomend this restaurant. They even remember my name, absolutely ++++! more

A group of friends and I dine here weekly and the staff and owners are the best! More than 3 visits and they greet you by name and ask for your families. Details are never skimped on and the food is the best tasting and freshest I have EVER had. They will cook to order, adjusting the spices to your preference. No details are left out. With the prices and especially the flavors, the Fortune House staff and owners make it the perfect dining experience. more

Fortune House sits in a strip mall with a big bright neon sign but when you go in it is this quaint bistrolike restaurant with amazingly fresh and authentic chinese food. We expected this to be just another take out chinese place and we were pleasantly surprised. The food does not come piled on a plate but thoughtfully placed with attention to detail and taste. The menu is typical but the way it is prepared does not compare to any others. The crab rangoon is the best we've ever had...it is definitely not frozen! We are now regulars and the staff/owners are just so nice and welcoming. Highly recommend!!! Food-5 stars, atmosphere-5stars, service-5 stars!! more

There is only one word I can think of right now to describe this place; filling. It fills my appetite for a chinese restaurant that is clean, friendly, and tasty and fills my stomach very nicely. The food is simply amazing. Other restaurants in the area have been cooking bland chinese food for years, and this little place blows them all out of the water. The price is right; about 6-7 dollars per combination plate. The other plates are also well priced. If you want hot and spicy, their hotter dishes can burn ones mouth out. I visited on recommendation and now I recommend this Fortune House to everyone I see. Parking is easy, usually you won't experience a wait, and the wait staff is very kind. The owners of the restaurant frequently come by to check up on their patrons. Lastly, they have a great take-out service. more
