Forest Park Elementary School has an excellent learning environment. The buildings consist of two large structures with staircases to a two-part upper section. It is a large school based on Indiana standards, but it is small compared to large city schools. The school has non-native speaking classes, as well as early childhood education and special ed classes. There is a large playground area. The city streets are closed in the early morning when school begins and parents and the school buses drop off the children. The streets are blocked on the side as busses pick up the children from the school in the afternoon. There are some excellent teachers and programs at this school. There are the usual numbers of unmotivated teachers, but far less than many district schools. Visit your child's classroom to see the teacher in action!
