Formosa restaurant has been voted Chattanooga's best Chinese restaurant several years running. It is the closest thing to "real" Chinese food that you will find in this city. The waiting area is small and VERY crowded on Friday nights, so get there early or go a different night. The decor is not fancy, but the food is what you're there for anyway. They have an extensive menu that features food from several areas of China. The menu is divided into vegetarian dishes, meat, chicken, seafood, etc. The staff is very friendly and the owner is often on hand to check on how your meal is.
