A family park. 1/25/2011

This is the second time that I have lived at Forest Vista, first in an RV and now as a homeowner. Hurricane Ike tried to wipe out the park but the family oriented management trudges on. They have removed most of the damaged homes and are continually working to improve the park. One of the other posts mentioned ?the rules change?. I think that is because they try to address problems as they arise. The pool is great. In the summer it?s open until 10pm! My favorite thing about the park is that there are a lot of kids for my son to play with. The school bus picks the kids up right inside the park. There is even an adult that supervises the kids at the bus stop. The park staff is always friendly and helpful. I also love that the park is so close to the beach. LaPorte has an awesome park at Sylvan Beach with swimming and a brand new, huge fishing pier. more

Forest Vista Moible Home Community 1/14/2011

I have lived in this community since 2002. I have seen the changes in Management and have seen the improvements in the community as well. more

Too Long to comment on your STUPID review 12/15/2010

Honestly you sound like typical trailer trash. You obviously have no education or you would not have posted such ludicrous comments. It sounds to me as if you are actually a EX Tenant. I have lived in this community for over 7 years. The only thing that I can agree with you on is that some homes should be renovated or removed. If you have driven through lately you would know that at least 8 mobile homes have been demolished in the last 3 months. You should also keep in mind that 85% of the homes in the park are privately owned. This indicates that maintenance has nothing to do with your repairs or your "trailer falling apart". There are a lot of STRAY animals as LP Animal Control comes out nearly daily to correct the issue. Concerning your flagrant lie, " And the city of La Porte wants to tare it down because its a eye sore." I checked your claim and the park has not been issued a city fine or violation in over 10+ years. In all honesty, the park is affordable and clean. I have never had a problem with being "robbied" (HAHA) nor is the "thumping" music a terrible issue. Unfortunately where ever you live there will always be people that like their music louder than you do. more

the worst trailer park to live in 9/16/2010

The pool is dirt.the maintains is 6mo or more behide. The trailers are old and ran down. The they change the park rules all the time. The manger is not nice in faxed she is mean all the time. There are cars that boom there music loud. There are speeders in the park no safe for kids. You rent a trailer it will fall part on you. There are dogs and cats that run all around the park with out there owners. If sometime happens in the park that the renters need to know they dont tell them about it they keep it to there self intil it gets around the park. And the city of laporte wants to tare it down because its a eye sore. There are trailers noone lives in that need to be gone do to ike and are still there. And if you want to talk to the owner there never around and the office will not tell you how to contact them at all.So if you want to live in a run down park then this is your place. If you dont believe me come and check it out yourself. There is nothing nice or beautiful about this park everything in it is run down or broke. They have even had the health department called on them over there trailers. If you like to be robbied, loud music, speeders, dogs, and cats running around all the time then this is your place.Oh and the part about not being told about whats going on is the robberys in the park they dont tell there renters when it happens but from what i have heared it all the time almost. So come rent a trailer but i wont. To the people who live there i feel sorry for them that is the worst place to live i dont see how they can live there as bad is it is. more
