Forest Ridge Apartments

If anyone is thinking to move to Forest Ridge Apt please reconsider because they are not worth the inconsistent!!!! The Office ladies are so unprofessional and its always different people working, they can NEVER keep the same people!!!! Literally everything breaks in the apartments, because they are sooooo OLD... Like the others, I regret moving to Forest Ridge. Let me first start with the incompetent workers in the office. There is new ""management"" in the office every 6 months or so, none by the way are capable of running an office (obviously from always being replaced). They have lost my rent and served me with an eviction notice. Thank goodness I keep ALL my receipts!!! They have also lost my lease telling me I needed to renew my lease, which I had done already but being that there is always new ""management"" it was obviously lost. Also don't call the office thinking you are going to get someone. I always had to go in and talk to someone. When I would walk in they would be on the phone, clearly with a friend because of the sudden ""Hold on"", not in a professional manner either. The office is never open during the times it says on the door. I think they (office workers) make up their own hours. \r \r Now for the condition of the townhomes...VERY outdated!!! I think I had the first electric stove and dishwasher invented!!! the foundation is uneven. My food would never cook evenly because the stove is slanted. My home frequently flooded whenever there was a heavy rainfall. The doors to all the rooms are flimsy, always getting caught on the carpet and tearing apart. When I first moved I was highly upset I had to clean the home myself...disgusting!!! I was also upset about the poor paint job in ALL the rooms. They clearly only painted over the holes in the walls which gave it a lumpy look. \r \r Maintenance...Or should I say they just found people off the street and gave them a cheap tool belt?!!?!??! First you have to call several times before anyone ever comes to fix anything and when they do finally come they are not capable of fixing anything!!\r \r If you do not like children, DO NOT move here!! Children are every where!! Always playing in the street...they are just all of the place. Some whom are very disrespectful and bullies. \r \r The doors to the home do not close properly...almost as if they do not fit the frames. \r \r The pool is NEVER clean! One time the entire pool turned black!! Yes...BLACK!!! They did not change the water, only poured something in it and that was all & I do not recall seeing them cleaning the pool, ever. \r \r I read all the reviews and thought maybe everyone was being dramatic and I would give Forest Ridge a try. Wish I wouldn't have!! \r \r The only plus is the elementary school, Orchard Park Elementary, which is rated one of the best schools in SC. \r \r Also if you do decide to move in, you will see people moving out monthly!! I cannot wait until my lease is up and I am able to move out!! I give Forest Ridge zero stars! If you wouldn't mind living in the projects in NYC, this is the place for you!! more

I regret moving into this apartment complex. I am a current resident and can't wait until my lease is up. The apartment is very out dated, the appliances are original(OLD) and breaks all the time. On HOT summer days Air conditioner freeze and poor managers will not answer phone to receive maintenance request; which are unqualified. Managers are nasty with no people skills. The apartment grounds are not taken care of, trash cans over flow weekly and pool water is unclean. If you are thinking about moving into this complex, DON'T. I wouldn't recommend it to the homeless. Very poor management, flooding around doors during heavy rain. Maintenance is unqualified and can't take care of simple problems. Management feels as if they don't have to abide by the same rules as tenants while living on property. Management shows favoritism to certain tenants. Every time there is a steady rain various apartments will flood! The foundations are poorly built. The rainwater will settle in a large puddle and will soak the carpet. There have been reports of mold and mildew?this is a major health risk! When a resident moves into the apartment the management does not disclose this. The management has made no attempt to fix the problem. The apartments are also very drafty. During the winter months the downstairs area is very cold while the upstairs area is very hot. The management and maintenance does not fix anything in a timely manner. I DO NOT recommend these apartments to anyone! Please BEWARE! Pros: Fort Mill School System Cons: Some Apartments Flood more

Would not recommend to anyone.... Managment doesn't consider having no AC in 90 degree weather a emergency !! I can't image this ! Maintance staff on call for the weekends are not qualified to do all repairs. Pros: close to I-77 Cons: to many to list more
