One of a kind 3/29/2010

This is a nice little place with food like my Polish grandparents would have served. It is small, so don't expect to be doted on if they are busy, but the service is good. If you can manage a word or two of Polish, they will treat you like family. We tried the white borscht, pirogies, borgi, sausage, and some excellent cake I dont remember the name of. It was all very good. We went back a few days later and bought some of the imported groceries. The staff, and other customers, were very helpful and patient with our questions of ""what is this?"" amd ""How do you prepare that?"" We'll be going back again regularly. Pros: Interesting food, good service more

Yum! 9/12/2009

I'm not even going to touch Seeker13's review. That chic is lost in her own little, rich, entitled world. Pros: The Food more

We are VERY, VERY poor! 5/28/2009

Best European Food 1/12/2009

I completely disagree with the negative October review about this restaurant. Pros: Everything more

Never again! 10/8/2008

I did not like this place at all... just stopped in and the owners were rude, unhelpful. Food was cold and bland which could have been changed but b/c of the rude ""know it all"" attitude and service we left. Wont be back! Pros: nothing Cons: everything more

Przysmaki 5/10/2008

WONDERFUL, DELICIOUS, always fresh and yummy food, true ?przysmaki?! Although the Deli and the imported items are a bit overpriced. When comparing items to the east coast where deli?s as this one are found on each and every corner, you?re use to buying $3 chocolate bars. Where here, unless you?re willing to dish out at least $6, there will be NO chocolate for you! Pros: The Food Cons: small, not for a large group to hang out at more

Best Polish food in Texas 2/5/2008

My wife and I had the Bigos and Mashed Potato meal (excellent). We will be coming back for more. Well worth the drive from Oklahoma...... Pros: Excellent food Cons: Small shop...Hard to find in the shopping center...... more

Something Different 1/2/2008

The food was hot, but the service felt ""cold"" to me! That said, I would still recommend it to anyone that wants to try something a little different. A ""hole in the wall"" with good food, would be how I would describe this diner. Pros: Good Variety of Polish Food Cons: Service more

Authentic and delicious Polish food 12/10/2006

FOR YOU is a wonderful little deli and an eatery . The owners are Polish immigrants, who create truly delicious dishes, just the way I remember them from Poland. These ladies cook like you are family. I am always amazed that the spice combinations are just perfect, even in dishes as complex as bigos (cabbage dish, traditionally made for hunting expeditions) ""Taste of Poland"" is a platter I would recommend for all new comers. My husband, who is Asian still orders every time because of the variety of dishes. They also make amazing soups and deserts. My personal favorite is the cucumber soup and szarlotka (apple strudel). They also make capuccinos. If you have never tried Polish food: this is a great place to try it. The menu is written in a user-friendly way, with description of the dishes in English, so you know what you are getting. The eatery is informal, so not exactly a place for a romantic date, but great place to meet friends. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is helpful and friendly, but not excessively attentive. The waitresses will let you be, if you don't make an effort to flag them. If you know this, you will enjoy the visit. After the meal, we always buy authentic Polish sausage (nice and full of garlic), some Polish deli meats and pierniczki (Polish imbir-bread cookies) at the counter. Zmacznego! (Bon appetite!) Pros: FOOD!!! Cons: Service more
