For Heaven's Cakes

The person who took my order over the phone, was pretty spacey and so I wasn't all that surprised that they screwed up the pick up date and time. On top of that I didn't get what I was expecting. What I did get was very average (could have made it at home), and some of my cupcakes were stale (probably because they weren't expecting to fill my order that day.) No apologies for the mix up. They didn't seem too interested in having my business, so next time they won't. more

My husband and I chose For Heaven's Cakes to create our wedding cake. During our meetings we were informed that they could recreate any cake all they needed were images. I thought how great this was. So I scoured magazines and found the cakes that I wanted to recreate. Very simple, base was a variying stripes and the top had a cool flower. I not only provied the actual magazine clippings I also typed up with jpeg images of what EXACTLY we wanted our cake to look like. I was informed that there would be no issues and that they could create it. On the day of my wedding I walked down for pictures where I immediately saw my cake and was horrified. It looked like a 4 year old got a hold of some play-doh and made my cake. I notified Lisa of For Heaven's Cakes of my dissatisfaction - since she is just the owner and doesn't make the cakes she could not offer me any resolution. She offered me $100 refund, mind you our cake cost $1085, and $200 credit at her store. The $100 was insulting and the credit we would never use seeing as we live almost an hour away. I told Lisa that it was unacceptable and she said that is all she would do for us. Please be wary of this company for any important celebrations you might be having. Though her cakes taste delicious and she can make what she knows she CANNOT create cakes. Pros: Cake's taste great Cons: Do not give you what you ask for more

OMG!!! What do they put in these cakes to make them soooo good? The signature cake is called the Chocolate Bomb and it is da bomb!!!! Rich, moist, and just the right amount of frosting. The cakes are available in 3 sizes plus minature ""cake bites"" which are so delicious and also make a really unusual and much appreciated gift. I also love the ""Sinamon"" and the carrot cake. They also do wedding cakes and have VERY talented pastry chefs. Be sure to stop in for a free sample! They're closed Sunday and Monday. Highly, highly recommended!!!!
