The service was great and the food was absolutely amazing. We loved everything they did. The setup was beautiful. The centerpieces were gorgeous. The owner and her assistant were very polite. If I ever get married again I will most definitely hire them more

We at For Any Occasion Catering, are responding to the previous review. We operate on a first come, first serve basis. People who sign a contract with us, and pay a deposit, become our clients. We have the right to not do business with people who make unreasonable demands, and are annoying. They made an awesome roast pig for our luau party! And they got the sides to go with it: coconut rice, curry sauce, and stir-fried veggies. Their pineapple bread pudding is to die for. more

I have to agree with gator21's review, I too received awful service from this business. However, be thankful you didn't have them cater your wedding!\r \r I hired them for my wedding reception and it was a disaster. There were several significant mistakes made, however the largest and most embarassing was they ran out of food! The 3 different appitizers ran out in less than 20 minutes and to top it off, there wasn't enough food brought for all of my guests' dinners...though I paid for it in advance. In most cases, you pay a portion in advance the the final payment the day of the event. When asked, Mandy told me they needed the remainder of the money a week up front, I now know why! \r \r Then, I sent an email to the owner explaining my frustration & embarassment and was basically blown off with a snooty reply and no responsibility was taken and no retrobution was made.\r \r I will NEVER use them again and if you are reading this I warn you to seek out other caterers in the area...there have to be better options!\r more

Mandy catered my daughter's wedding on October 4. Everything she promised she delivered on. The food was delicious, especially the roast prime rib and the baked mahi with pistachios. She also presented fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate that looked like cute little brides and grooms.\r The service was outstanding: mature and friendly ladies\r who worked hard to make everything go smoothly. I could not have asked for better service. I would recommend For Any Occasion to anyone. Pros: great food and service more

For Any Occasion catered our wedding reception this past November and did an excellent job. My husband, Eric, and I were delighted with the number of comments from our guests about how good the food was. And the service could not have been better. The staff was friendly and quickly cleared the tables, and served our cake. \r \r Mandy, the owner, and her husband set up the hall providing all of the linens, china and centerpieces. They even placed our favors on the guest tables for us. \r \r At the end of the night, everything was cleaned up for us. We didn't have to do anything but enjoy our special day! NEVER USE FOR ANY OCCASION CATERING!!! I contacted Mandy regarding catering my wedding in October 2008. She quoted me a great price and everything sounded wonderful! My mom sent her an email and left her messages regarding setting up a menu tasting. She never responded! I live in San Antonio and I'm not able to do this myself, so my Mom was taking care of it for me. Then I called and left her a message asking for the same thing. No call back! Finally, I called and she answered. I asked her for the tasting which she said was no problem at all to do an evening tasting. She said she was wide open to do it. I then asked her to prepare the contract and send it to me. I told her my Mom would give her the signed contract and the $1000 deposit at the tasting the following week. Now, 2 days before the tasting I get the following email from her.\r \r ""Gina,\r \r I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to cancel the tasting appointment\r for Tuesday evening. I've worked 7 days last week and will be working 6\r days this week, and I have not the extra time and energy to prepare a\r tasting and to hold an evening appointment.\r I have another person interested in the October 18 date that does\r not require either one.\r \r Mandy Merritt\r For Any Occasion LLC""\r \r I guess this means she no longer wants my business because I wanted to sample her product before I purchased it! Not even the courtesy of a phone call. I was depending on her to cater my wedding! She did not even offer to reschedule it, just flat out cancelled it! She obviously has something better lined up than my wedding! \r \r So, again be very careful when speaking with her. She sounds great at the beginning, but has no professionalism and then later after you think everything is set, she lets you know that if something better comes along, then you are no longer important. Also, if she had just returned my calls or my Mother's emails the tasting would have been done by now and she would have my deposit.\r more
