Dr Huppin saved me! 4/27/2010

Huppin was also named Podiatrist of the Year by the WA Podiatric Medical Association and he's a nationally-known educator and lecturer in the field of biomechanics (which is why he believes in treating non-surgically whenever possible). I broke the new orthotics in over time as I was told to do, and am really, really pleased with the results ~ I don't have any pain, and am really enjoying my walks now that I know my feet will be okay and not hurt! I went back to Dr. Huppin's website and found out that they also offer custom orthotics to wear in dress shoes, and have ordered a pair of those as well for my office shoes. I was really impressed and very happy with my results. I would highly recommend Dr. Huppin. He is very friendly and knowledgeable, as is his office staff. They're courteous and efficient, and I didn't have to wait to see the doctor; it felt like the doctor respected my time, which is unusual nowadays. more

I will never go anywhere else! 4/23/2010

As far as patient care (including service) goes it doesn't get much better than this. One of the things I love about Dr. Huppin's office is that it always seems to run on time. That means that if I arrive at 9:20 for a 9:30 appointment, that I will be in an exam room at 9:30 (if not earlier) and someone will be in to see me within two or three minutes. Also, Dr. Huppin will actually call me himself to follow up on a visit and it's SO nice that the front desk is willing to do some of the legwork with my health insurance company. Dr. Hale is great, too (the whole staff is, really). I stumbled upon Dr. Huppin a few years ago when I was having trouble with my knee. I run (and bike, swim, hike, etc.) and he was very understanding about my need to be back on my feet as soon as possible. I brought in a couple of pairs of running shoes and he gave me excellent advice about the fit and what to look for in a shoe. He made me orthotics to wear with my new shoes and since then I have been more or less free of pain in my left knee. Added bonus: I now have ten toenails because my shoes fit properly. I really appreciated the fact that he was willing to fix my knee and get me running again (and prevent future injuries) as soon as possible. In the past, I feel like a lot of doctors have simply said, "Just stay off it until it feels better;" an attitude I find to be most unhelpful for my situation. I recently tore a ligament in my ankle, and they are taking great care of me. There is no way I would have even considered going to see anyone else. Diane more

Wonfderful Office! 4/16/2010

Wonderful office. Dr. Huppin seems to sincerely love what he does. Very upbeat and cheerful (given that he spends all day with feet). After limping around for the past months on a painful foot that wasn't getting any better and with the Rock n Roll marathon coming up, it was time to find someone who could help me. I've seen a few other sports medicine docs, but wasn't overly impressed by them. A friend had seen Dr. Huppin and had great things to say, so I made an appointment. Dr. Huppin examined my feet and analyzed my gait to see where all of the problems could be coming from. Turns out I had tendinitis, caused by flat feet, years of running and exacerbated by the wrong running shoes. He fit me with orthotics and taught me how to find the right shoes for my feet. He also evaluated my high heels and other shoes and gave me hints on how to make them more comfortable on how to pick out regular shoes that fit me properly. Four weeks later and I have no pain and I'm training for my first half marathon. Yay me! If you're looking for a podiatrist who is caring, competent and has a great staff and won't rush you into surgery, go see Dr. Huppin Lesliey more

They listen and help! 4/13/2010

Dr. Huppin is a podiatrist who specializes in mechanical problems like heel pain, bunions and sports injuries. Their office really focuses on avoiding surgery. I had been having heel pain for months and been to another podiatrist and an orthopedist. I had tried orthotics and my podiatrist was recommending surgery when my family doc referred me to Dr. Huppin. What a wonderful guy! Listens, responds, and helps, with warmth and understanding. He evaluated my orthotics and showed me how they were not supporting my foot enough to relieve my pain. He did some adjustments there in his office and had me wear them. Within a week my pain was finally going away! I went back a few weeks later and had him make me some new orthotics and haven?t had a problem since. My only problem now is that I panic if I don?t have my orthotics with me. I will never go to another podiatrist but him, until he retires. Luckily, he's young! more

Excellent Bedside manner! 4/9/2010

At first, I was a little put off by Dr. Huppin's quick manner. I was afraid I was going to be in and out and that he wouldn't really know about me, but my fears were quickly gone. Dr. Huppin explained to me why I have plantar fasciitis. He explained possible 'fixes' and we determined, together, the best plan of action for me. I love that the doctor watched me walk & video taped my walking feet. I was fit for an orthotic with a 3-D scan of my foot. I am excited about the possibility of relief from this pain. My mother-in-law also had an appointment with Dr. Huppin the same day and I think this is the first time in a long time she has hope for some relief from the pain she has had in her foot for decade more
