The only thing I would say is that when you go to this Dr and you are well....you can sign in, be next on the list, and the nurses and office staff will take everyone who came after you and leave you for last. You could wait over an hour in the waiting area alone. It is a very small waiting room and a lot of people in there sick with flu etc. I have seen a very old person sit there for a very long time while other people come in, sign in and go in first. I dont think thats very safe and it is also rude and Im not sure about why they have the sign in sheet. They do not follow their sign in sheet. The doctor of course doesn't pay attention to them doing this. more

I have known Dr. Fontanier since 1986. Like everyone else says, he is the best doctor I have ever been to. He is a wonderful person. He took care of my entire family for 25 years. There have been many times when I have been forced to use other doctors because of my health insurance, but whenever I run across something they can't handle, or I really feel the need for a second opinion, I still go to Dr. Fontanier because his is the only judgement I trust. I simply can't say enough good things about him. more

After my first long wait for an appointment in the waiting room, I immediately understood why, and forgave. Once the doc has you in the examination room, he gives you 100% of his attention and time. You feel as if the rest of the world does not exist, and all his time is for you. He is all that I expect a doctor to be (so many fall so terribly short). Compassionate, reviews your record, asks whole-health questions, listens to your answers, does not rush you, explains things in terms any person can understand, discusses possible cause of illness, does not just treat symptoms, trys to educate his patients, genuinely cares about his patients, excellent bedside manner, keeps himself up to date in the field of medicine. Employs a capable, comforting and friendly staff. Many lab tests, e-rays etc. can be done on site. You get immediate results. He has been my doctor since 1989. I now live overseas, but when in Houston and need a doctor, he is the first and only one I will go to. Even when I moved across town Houston, I always returned to ""Doc Fontanier"" - well worth the trip (and the wait.) I have lived out of the country for over 20 years and have not been sick in the same amount of time. I am thinking of retiring and was planning to have a complete physical and while reviewing doctors, i started to think of the best doctor I have ever had and that would be Dr. Fontanier\r I think I will wait until I am back in Houston to have my physical. I do trust him !!! HE IS THE BEST!!!!By far, Dr. Fontanier is the most amazing and compassionate person you will ever meet. From the moment you walk in the door, to the second you leave,you feel welcome.He took care of my familly and he still does.I will never trust any other doctor, the way I trust him!We feel like family. Dr. Fontanier is a legend in his profession, he delivered my boy 15 years ago, and I had never needed to go back for the same sickness. You?re cured on the first visit. He's one of the best.
