Foley Boulevard Animal Hospital

We had been taking our German Shepherd to a vet for a couple of months. They told us that she needed surgery for her knee. They told us it would have been $2400. A friend of ours referred us to Foley Animal Hospital telling us how great they were. We brought the xrays of her knee with us. When Dr. Barr came in after reviewing the xrays and feeling her leg, he told us right away that it wasn't her knee. He said that she had no arthritis in between the months of her xrays and no fluid on the knee. He asked if they checked her hips. I told them they did a physical check of them and they were fine. Dr. Barr did an xray of her hips and diagnosed her with hip dysplasia. You could totally see on the xray that they were bad. When our other vet was showing us her knee xrays, I didn't know what he was showing us, but I just assumed he knew what he was talking about. Dr. Barr gave us a list of options and suggested what he would do if it was his dog. She will be going throught 4 weeks of shots twice a week of Adequan. She got her first shot during that visit and has already shown great improvement. 4 days later she was running up the stairs which she hadn't done in months. She's a happier dog and much more active already. We have another German Shepherd and will be switching to this hospital for now on, even though it's a 40 minute drive. The people are so nice and knowledgable. Today she'll be getting her 2nd shot and I can't wait to see what changes those will make. more

We take our dog and two cats to FBAH. The veterinarians, technicians, and front office staff are all friendly and professional and clearly care about animals. We always get good explanations of our treatment options. more

I have gone to Foley Animal Hospital for over 17 years. They have cared for my amimals from the early puppy stage to the day I had to say goodbye to them. The care you receive from the doctors and staff is A++. I have experienced in a emergency that the staff, Dr Barr and Dr McHale are exceptional with your pet as well as comforting to you. They have always been very informative and presented options for care before any procedures were performed. more

I went to this vet clinic to have my dog checked for a urinary tract infection. The female vet wanted to do all these tests most I denied. She was just trying to get as much money as she could from me and gave me no warning to any costs. For example she told me she was going to clean out my dogs ears and later I found out she charged me $25. Then clipped her nails for $16 after I had just had them done 2 months prior.\r My total bill for less than a half hour was over $250. I felt sick and wish somebody had warned me before I chose to go there. I will never return. I got ripped off! more

The vet was nice. I prefer my other vet better. I was unaware of some of the charges this vet gave me until the end. more

We have gone to FBAH since 1998 and have been well taken care of until I was on lay off and had a pet emergency and needed help, because we could not pay at that moment in full we were turned away. It seems to me that in these times some places need to rethink some policies. We were willing to set a payment plan up but were told that would not be possible. They offered no other help or options. Not so pet friendly! I hope sometime in the future this will be addressed. Pros: Great when you have income Cons: Bad when between jobs more

I have been going to Foley Blvd Animal Hospital for almost 16 years. The care and personal attention is A+ from the Doctors and staff. I have experienced that Dr. Barr is specialized to perform surgeries that no other local vet was qualified for. The experience and added care for senior animals is exceptional. I lost my Redford in January and the care and comfort I received for him as well as myself I cannot express in words. more

being the owner of two greyhounds I am extremely happy with the care and attention that they get at the clinic. The prices are comparable to other clinics in the area. But above that the staff is extremely helpful and caring when you bring your animals in. The doctors explain things to you thoroughly and I could not be happier with the service we receive when we go there. Major Kudos more

My lab/shepherd cross has been going to this clinic since he was 7 weeks old, he's 12 1/2 now and they have always been nothing but wonderful to him, for him and with him. They are a wonderful clinic, with experienced, knowledgeable veterinarians who can handle any situation with care and love. I'd recommend them to anyone. Pros: They're perfect with animals of all sizes, thorough, prepared and loving. Cons: Could use a larger waiting room more

FBAH has been our vet for at least 15 years. I cant say enough about how well our kids are cared for. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful, and go above and beyond to take care of our needs. We will continue to drive the extra miles from Isanti for as long as we have pets. more

I would highly recommend Foley Blvd. Animal Hospital. The vets and technicians are extremely nice. The price is very comparable to other vet clinics in the Blaine area. The clinic is very clean, and has seperate sides for cats and dogs. If we hadn't moved, we definately would still be bringing our animals here. more

This is a very nice place to take your pet. Staff is very friendly. Office was very clean. The prices are great. I have tken my pet there many times and have always been very satisfied with there service. They let you know up front the cost to you. So that there isn't any hiden charges at all. My pet really like everyone there. He usually trys bitting everyone. But he did not do that here. I guess that is because he scented they where not like other people and they would treat him well there. You have to give them a try. It will be well worth it and less stress on your pet. more
