The concept of a Brazilian steakhouse is apparently not new, but it was for me on my first visit. The idea is that they cook the meat over an open flame and then the gauchos bring it to you on huge skewers. They then slice off the portion you want, serving you at the table.
Fogo de Chao brings this to a fantastic level, starting you off with a fantastic salad bar, and then moving on to the meat and sides. Everything is all you can eat and worthy of making a pig of yourself. They have something like 13 cuts of meat.. beef, pork, chicken and lamb. My favorites are the lamb and the parmesean coated pork.
The really winning thing about Fogo de Chao, however, is the service. I have absolutely NEVER received better service ANYWHERE. period., the end. Nowhere.
It is rather pricey, as it is fixed price menu and all you can eat but well worth it for a special occasion.
