Best

It was hard to find, but I'm glad we did... I was a little worried when we walked in and saw that it was smaller than expected and it wasn't very busy (that's usually not a good s...

Worst

Every meat was dry and over cooked! The salade bar was far from being any close to the word fresh. For $43 easy to get better food in Atlanta! This was a very very bad experience....

Even BETTER!!! 5/27/2005

First, congratulations on the new place! It is BEAUTIFUL! You totally SCORED with that bank vault downstairs! I always get good service in the marietta location, but it seems like the service in the downtown location is even better... maybe I'm just all caught up in the ""downtown"" thing. The caipirinhas were even as good as the ones in Marietta... the bartender must have taken lessons from the guy in Marietta! Pros: Free Valet, Great Service, the food... mmmm Cons: bathrooms downstairs, (yeah someone already, said that) more

Steak Heaven! 5/24/2005

I have found a place where the guys can go eat... and eat... and eat... I used to go to one of the ""steak spots"" here, but fergettabouttit!!! I can't see paying a hunk of meat getting cold on my plate anymore. Especially when Fogao Gaucho is only two blocks away! I can get all kinds of different steaks, and it's always hot! Soon as I'm done eatin' pork loin, they come out with a rump roast! Then they brought out the lamb chops, and the filet... where do I stop? Then they brought out the cheesecakes... these guys aren't right! UNCLE already! You've won a customer with a lot of hungry friends! Pros: Meat!, GOOD meat!, Free Valet!!! Cons: No Sunday lunch more

A great downtown experience 5/20/2005

I was recently downtown at a show at the Rialto and wanted dinner right after and found Fogao Gaucho. What a gem hidden on Peachtree Street. I don't get downtown much at all, but now when I do I have a great place to eat. The restaurant is in the Flatiron Building, which is a beautiful structure all in itself, but anyway, what a great, fun restaurant. The atmosphere is extremely classy and it felt very comfortable to me and my date. We enjoyed caprinna's (sp) and some of the best steak I have ever eaten. The staff is so polite and attentive and we were very well watched over. I enjoyed the more intimate feel of the restaurant, and you don't get lost in the shuffle of a large steak place. By the way, the have the best chocolate mousse I have EVER had the pleasure to taste. Pros: Convenient to get to, Comfortable seating, Attentive Staff more

Y'all outdid yourselves! 5/17/2005

I'm glad y'all are downtown! For some reason, the meats tasted even better... might have something to do with the atmosphere you created... classy and festive at the same time (and I love that big bank vault you have downstairs!). Keep up the great work, y'all! Pros: Great taste!, Free Valet, Cool downstairs Cons: Bathrooms downstairs more

Finally, a great downtown experience 5/9/2005

Had a great meal at the new Fogao Gaucho downtown. My wife and I had a great experience last Saturday evening. We walked over from our loft and once inside it reminded both of us of our trip to Brazil last year. Fantastic food and service and the meats were great. Their entire staff is Brazilian and we tried out or broken Portuguese on them. The chicken is great, one of my wife's favorites, but I was blown away with the house special and the rest or the beef selections. I also noticed they have free valet parking, but we did not use it. They also have a private room downstairs that is an old bank vault with the door and safety deposit boxes. Very nice for my next client dinner. Glad to have you in the neighborhood. Pros: Convenient, Authentic, Dynamite Service Cons: Nothing bad to say more
