This barber shop advertises women's haircuts and styles. Their interpretation of these terms must be very loose indeed.
I always saw hip people working at the Champa St. location. I made an appointment with the location closer to my house. In an attempt to make things easier for the stylist, I brought along a picture of a cut I desired.
Apparently the cut and style was too difficult for the seemingly inept "stylist" to handle. I thought it would have required nothing more than removing some length and shortening the layers, but what do I know.
After finishing the bare minimum amount of work, she asked me what I thought of the cut while my hair was still soaking wet! Maybe she thought I walked around like that all the time. This was the first time in my life a stylist has ever done that. Didn't even offer a blow dry; maybe she assumed I couldn't afford the extra cost for one.
Besides being rather inhospitable, the stylist had the gall to charge me $27.00, since layered cuts are listed as costing "$22.00 and up". Not a bad price had she not been unskilled, or merely just lazy, wishing instead to have an easier male customer.
Summary: if your a guy, it's probably an okay place, it does have a fun atmosphere. But if you want your hair to actually look good, cut by someone with competent communication and haircutting skills, by all means go somewhere else.
