Floyd's 99 Barbershop

What a FUC*ING nightmare! I've been to Floyd's many a times. This time I go in and recognize only a few faces. Just my luck, I get the nicest sweetest girl newly moved here from out of town and to my right the person I came with is also getting her hair cut by a newly relocated nice young lady as well. All is well for the first 40mins...never having view of the mirror by the time I'm asked how its coming along about 3 inches of my already short hair has been hacked off as if a hedge trimmer had been used. I now have hair to my ears, not much left to take off short of a crew cut and it is a disaster!!!!! I'm not sure if I should scream or cry. There is no going back and nothing short of a miracle to make this even passable as a haircut. To my right the other new girl has done a similarly horrible job on my companion but she was lucky enough to just make the girl stop before she ended up with an equally horrible disaster of a cut. Needless to say the owner then attempts to fix this nightmare and it now looks like a patched up bumper held together with duct tape as opposed to the triple car pile up with multiple fatalities. I am not a person that cares much about a hair cut but for the first time in my life I am mortified! How could they hired people and let them cut hair if they don't know what the hell they're doing?! I hate Floyd's and I advise you to steer clear unless you're going for some simple straight across blah haircut or getting it all shaved off. Either way you might end up with the same result! I gave this place one star because they wont let you give zero plus the manager did attempt to fix it and neither of us got charged for our hair hacks. Go to quick cuts at least you know what ur in for! more

Yesterday I went to Floyd's 99 Barbershop on the north side of Colordo Springs. It was a cool atmosphere. I was greeted by friendly staff at the front desk, my wait was short (just a few minutes) and the young man who approached me politely introduced himself. I had hopes that he knew what he was doing and gave him enough information about the haircut that an experienced hairdresser would need to get the job done, and done well. more

The people are friendly, the music is good and the atmosphere is pretty cool, too! Band posters plaster the walls there, and chairs and barber stations are kinda old-school! It isn't just a barbershop for men, though!! Women can get cuts and color there whenever (though i'd reccommend an appointment/same day appointment, because some people there just don't so womens hair and you don't wanna wait forever)! more
