Just had my dog neutered 1/31/2009

Dr. Burns and Flower Valley Veterinary Clinic are the best!! My dog went in for surgery in the morning and was ready to go in the afternoon. No problems at all -- Very professional! I recommend Dr. Burns to everyone I know and they are all very happy with the quality of his work and caring personality. more

Avoid this place for surgery 7/20/2007

Had my dog neutered here not so long ago. Very sloppy suturing work. The three stitches closest to his sac that were put in properly (enter skin, exit skin, tie off) were too far apart (about 3/4-1" apart each) and left open gaps in the skin which took a lot of time to heal. Just beyond those stitches they did a running stitch along his penis that left a lot of thread exposed and easy to grab with his teeth - which he did - had them pulled out by the next morning. Very friendly staff, but that isn't as important as proper medical care, which my dog did NOT get. Took dog elsewhere for his post-surgery work and checkups, even though I had to pay for it and it was already included (and paid) in this vet's original bill. Cost me a lot of concern for my pet with these gaping wounds and extra money for the extra care required. more

Flower Valley and Dr. Burns 5/18/2007

I normally don't write reviews about stuff like this but I want folks to know about Flower Valley Veterinary Clinic off of Norbeck Road in Maryland. I have known Dr. Burns since I was a child. He has always been an outstanding Veterinarian and has taken care of many of my dogs from the time they were puppies until the time I had to put them down. I loved the place so much that I worked there for a number of years. I enjoyed the people who worked there and loved the animals. I learned that Flower Valley is a family oriented facility and believe me, we cried just as much as the owners cried when they had to make the horrible decision of putting their pet to sleep. It is a nice atmosphere and the staff is excellent-place is definitely clean-I should know I used to scrub those floors!. I would recommend this Vet Clinic to everyone. Dr. Burns is a class act and he does care about the animals and you! He is very personable and caring. Go there-you won't be disappointed! more
