Edgar is the owner/installer, and his strongest suit is straight up honesty. He will actually listen to your needs first, and then figure out the best product for your application. He can use several different brands, and materials, and will give you the advantages/ disadvantages of each as well as the associated costs. We had four different companies provide estimates, and he was tied with the most economical, but offered more service, and did not quit till we were happy. He did a walk around before I could, and redid two windows as they were not up to his satisfaction. We were able to use Suntek Symphony safety film (6-7mil) which you can watch videos on youtube as to their strength, and it gave us the cooling effect we desired on the S, E, and W sides, but used clear on the North to maintain an unhampered view of the conservation area behind us. It is Dual Reflective which the other dealers wanted to charge us more for which does not make you feel like you are in a fish bowl at night (light inside on normal tint will make windows look black.
Hence, we got the specs for heat rejection, desired tint, and safety to boot for the same or less than the other three estimates. He does all his own work unless it is a really big job, or very large windows. He brought an assistant for our large 8' sliders (x5) and prep, but did the rest of the work.
He has very good communication and showed up right on time. He cleans up very well after himself, and treats your house as his own. A big thumbs up for Edgar and Florida Window Tinting!
Make sure to google/call your energy company before you add tint to be able to take advantage of applicable energy rebates (Progress Energy = $100.)
Pros: Edgar will not quit till you are happy
