We are regulars of the Flores location in Lakeway off 620. We head there every Monday night for ""Monday night Margaritas"" and dinner, and usually catch a football game. We sit at the bar, and Ronnie the bear of a bartender usually takes care of us. He has known our names since the 2nd time we came in, and has our drinks waiting for us when we walk in, and always makes great conversation. Food is good, and salsa is spicy as hell. That's good- though, order it with a fresh side of guacamole and be thankful it's made fresh every day. We make up our own meals half the time, and they do it the way we want every single time. Drinks: We always get the La Flor (thier marg specialty) or the Paloma (a low car marg made with fresca- love it!) The restaurant is always busy, bustling, and services a golf-lake-family community. There are chips on the floor and there is no where to wait if they go on a wait. It's not uncommon to see an entire baseball team at a table, the bar full of drunks of the course, and the staff running slightly behind. Don't call them all friendly- half the service staff won't speak much due to broken English and the ones that do are usually too hungover to make conversation, but we call it a ""Flores Night"" every Monday. Recommendations: sit at the bar, order the la flor, a small regular queso w side of guac, and the beef chimichanga and share it. yummmmmm..... finish it if you can with a sopapilla. Our bar stools are the best seat in the house. We heart Flores.
