I purchased a new home at Maronda Florence Lake Ridge in May. I have lived here, along with an elderly couple on the street behind me, for over a month. None of us have any cable, internet or 911 service. With only two actual owners living in the new community, Spectrum TV said it is the fault of Maronda for not properly notifying them that there are people living in the community. As such, the community is unserviceable. Maronda sent me an official email advising that this is a 3rd party vendor issue, and that they cannot help with the issues, including having the 911 service.
All of the Spectrum equipment is in, but Maronda will not act in good faith on behalf of their two first buyers in the community.
I have several repair items that need to be fixed at the house. So far, Maronda have declined offering help to fix the upgraded crown molding, scratched front door, etc. In fact, when you sign your purchase papers, as in my case, the document indicated I paid for a large lot irrigation system. Once I signed and paid for the house, I found out there was no irrigation system in the back at all. And, according the the rep I spoke with, Maronda was only providing coverage for 60 percent of the property for irrigation. Unfortunately, the system in place does not have enough sprinkler heads to cover the grass area, but Maronda officially told me that they are not installing any additional sprinkler heads. I also found out that the elderly couple behind me are having the exact same issues, and the elderly man had to get a quote for additional sprinkler heads costing approximately $1000.
Before you even consider Maronda Florence Lake Ridge, look around, ask us questions, and ask the sales staff what they are doing to take care of the issues with their first two buyers. Once you sign the papers, you are on you own at this subdivision. There are many other builders in the Clermont area to shop for new houses.
